Laguna Seca 5 Corral July 8 & 9th

Stevenson and the #6 Sunoco Camaro return to the famous "cork screw" with the rest of the Grand Am Camaro teams on July 8 & 9. I'm gonna be there!! I'm tired of the Vette set dominating the "corrals". So I'm thinking, why not a gen 5 corral to cheer on all the gen 5 racers?? Never been to the Monterey Peninsula? Then you owe it to your gen 5. Not enough twists and turns at Mazda Raceway?? Then highway 1 has got'em!! It takes a minimum of 10 Camaros for a corral. Anyone interested??

The actual corral passes don't amount to much something in the neighborhood of $10 each. Unless we get a huge turnout and one of the clubs wants to take the project over as a fund raiser. Additional to that you have the event passes. That will depend on how many passes and days you want to attend, camping, hospitality ect. I will not know actual pricing until Mazda Raceway puts them "on sale". Some time in December. The purpose in starting early is the corrals "sell out" fast so we need to get an early slot. As soon as I have pricing I will post. As I recall the last event we attended was something in the neighborhood of $75 each for both days.

Great!! All we need are a few more!! I will post pricing as soon as I receive it from Mazda Raceway. The corral passes usually don't amount much something in the neighborhood of $10 then the event passes are added to that, stay tuned!!

So this is in July of 2011? That's enough notice that I might be able to sneak away to see this. I'll check a little later in the week and make sure we don't have anything booked. Wifey's grandmother was born on July 4th and is in her high 90's so that's the only conflict I see.

Yeah Spectre!! Tore me up too!! Young son had me talked into a marathon drive to Miller motorsports park in his C5 Z06 for the finale but he ended up having to work and we didn't make it!! I think it just as well considering the luck the Camaro teams had. I'm expecting them to have a super year this year!! We'll see!! For me it is like the old "Trans Am" days!! Can't wait!!
