Camaro Preview -- Cleveland auto show....

It's been a long wait........

.............to August 2006 when we made the announcement that the new Camaro would, indeed, become a reality..........

.............to September 2008 when we "officially" unveiled the Production Intent Camaro to you at Indianapolis Motor Speedway..........

And throughout all of this, you "kept the faith............."

We would like to invite you to a very special "preview" of the GM Exhibit and the Camaro at the Cleveland International Auto Show on Saturday morning, February 28. Awesome, I was trying to figure out how to get to the one in PA, but didn't want to drive almost 8 hours. I will absolutely go to this one.

Wait, so I have to go to the other site to register?

However..............

If anyone is seen even TRYING to coddle the Mustangs (...they tend to quiver and squeek when a Camaro gets within a mile of them....) I'll have a 'suburban escort' at hand........

Scott, will Houston have much to see or do I come to Cleveland?

I hope you will shed some light on this for me. Will we be able to see many camaro's in Houston, sit in them, etc.... or do we need to make our plans now for Cleveland.

I have just registered. I cannot wait for this!

You know Scott, since I live less than 20 minutes from the IX Center perhaps I can take care of the Camaro for you over night, you know, so none of those evil Mustangs try to do something nasty to it when it's sleeping. I can park it in my garage and keep it warm and protected over night, then bring it back to the show every morning on my way to work for the whole week.

This is so exciting - the internet is such a great tool!

Such a meet and greet could have never been possible pre-internet days

Oh, I meant to ask, will there be any coffee? 7:30 is early for me on a Saturday

Doesn't Cleveland have very high unemployment right now and is one of the largest sub-prime mortgage areas in the country? BTW - What's a Cleveland steamer?

That is very true...... for the city of Cleveland proper. The story is completely different for suburbs of Cleveland (which is where I live). For years, the city of Cleveland has had derelicts for mayor and city hall, and anyone with even the most minimal of means has moved out of the city and into the burbs, leaving no tax revenue for the city to collect on. Property values have sunk, crime is up (but if you listen to Cleveland's mayor its down), and nothing gets done at city hall. I love Cleveland, I work in the city, I was born and raised there, but I am so glad and thankfull I do have a good job and don't have to live in the city today.

And I have never heard of a Cleveland steamer..... where did you hear that from?

Could count me in as well. Gotta keep up appearances for the West side of the state. It's funny though, as both my parents are from the burbs of Cleveland (or just about) and both had Camaros..

A Cleveland Camaro Club is just bound to happen..

As is the planned run at Norwalk between my SS and my mom's LT.
