Hey All,

As of January 23rd, I have 2 standard core return TB's available immediately and 4 V6 LLT TB's ready to go.

What that means is that if you get in on these units there will be no waiting as they should ship within a day or so of ordering.

I had mentioned previously that my shipping costs had gone up, so the updated pricing with be $149 for the TB (same), $15 standard ground shipping to the lower 48 and the $200 refundable core fee. So the total out of pocket would be $364.

Payment can be made via Paypal to thevettedr@aol.com or you can call weekedays at 407-616-2518 to place the order. When paying via Paypal, please include a good contact phone number, e-mail address and what vehicle (2010 or 2011, LS3 or L99).

For those who would like to get one of the brand new never ran TB's, there will be a $50 premium to the cost. What I do is not add that cost to the initial payment of $364, but I only refund you $150 of the core fee once I get your good usable stock core instead of the normal $200. I am trying to keep this to as little as possible initial payment outlay for folks. If you order a new TB and plan on keeping your core, then the total initial cost is an extra $50 for a total of $414.

I had also mentioned that we are starting to get some pretty nasty looking cores coming back and that we are going to have to start charging folks for the condition of these cores to put towards refinishing the exterior surfaces. This is a $10 cost. What we will be doing is upon inspection of the returned core, if it is deemed that refinishing is needed, the $10 will be deducted from the core fee return.

I hung on to my core for a week just to make sure I had no issues with the new TB and my particular setup. It works perfectly and has improved throttle response to a very noticable level. As an aside, I can't really prove it but I believe the TB may have enhanced the fuel economy as well.

Mike, I received my New VMAX this morning looks and runs incredible. Again it's a pleasure doing business with you. My stock throttle body was shipped, should receive it tomorrow.

I have the TVS2300 S/C installed. We dyno'd mine after the installation and didn't see any significant gains (if any gains) in HP when compared to the baseline run. Others have claimed an increase in HP, but we did not see it on my car.

Throttle response was the big winner, in that it eliminated the "dead zone" in the initial first part of the accelerator pedal movement. This alone makes the Vmax TB an excellent modification for the price and a case could possibly be made for a modest fuel mileage increase as well.

Hey All,

Busy day on the dyno and just gettijng back in the office to try and get caught up some.

Thanks for the orders so far and as of now I have 1 new TB left and 3 standard used units left.

As far as the question of gains on a forced induction setup, I have yet to do a test personally, but CAMROSS gave a pretty good answer I believe. I too have heard of gains on some cars, but he says what he saw was marginal. But that you can still get the much better throttle response. I believe a lot of it has to do with how it was tuned originally for sure.
