Seat belt riding on my neck, driver and passenger.

Do any of you have this problem with the seat belt? There is no up/down adjustment like in my other cars. Looking for any suggestions if anyone else is experiencing this like me. If no solution I will buy one of those pads that goes around the belt. I don't like the looks of them so I am hoping someone has a suggestion.

theres a magnetic loop on the side of the seat that keeps it down... unless ur realllly short this should fix it.

I fought the magnet hoop for almost a year (not sure why). Now that I'm using it I don't have this problem anymore.

Russ, this simple, inexpensive fix works for me. I can't take credit for it though, as another forum member first suggested it.
Get two pieces of 1"- 1 1/2" wide nylon straps, about 6 1/2" long. If you have any left-over camera, binocular or duffle bag straps these work great, or buy it cheaply where any material is sold.
Next you put a hole in each end, big enough to fit over the metal snap and magnet. Heat the edges of the holes to keep the nylon from fraying.
Wrap it around the belt, snap the magnet button over it, and go!
I used a 1" wide strap, to keep it fairly hidden under the seat belt. Also, I tried several different lengths, and determined 6 1/2" is the shortest you can make it, and still have the seat belt slide smoothly inside the loop.

Before

The strap and how it installs

The magnetic loop works fine, IF YA' DON'T REACH BACK AND UP TO PULL THE BELT AROUND YA'. Reach the belt at chest level with either hand and pull it horizontally across yourself to clip it inta' place.

I had a miserable time, too, with the belt pullin' outa' the loop when I reached up to grab its end. It' hella easy, if ya' remember to grab the belt LOW.

I do use the magnetic strap but the seat belts still ride on my neck. I'm 5'9" so not really short.

rkern- thanks for taking the time to taking pics of your setup. I'm going to use your method to see how it works.

Thanks again.

I have the same problem, 5'8 and it's on my neck. I have gotten used to it. I am going to try a phone book to get me a little higher.

It all just depends on the person and seating position. If i recline my seat somewhat it rubs on my neck and i'm 6ft. If i put the seat up straight it doesn't.

I'm 5'1" and I use something similar to this. Found them at Pepboys, 2 pack.

I had the same problem. I ended up getting seatbelt extensions from the dealer.
(I think they are 6-8" extensions) They are free from the dealer, if you ask for them. My Dealership had to order them, but they helped tremendously.
