Project Passionately Pink Camaro

Our plans are to totally redo the suspension adding a fully adjustable performance Air Lift kit capable of high speeds and cornering like it’s hugging the highway. The Roadwire interior has multi tone fine black leather and saddle perforated alcantara surface along with the OEM slate and onyx black leather. The heated, comfortable seating will keep the passengers guessing that they are riding in a high end luxury sedan yet the 600hp LSx package will remind them ever so tastefully that this vehicle can truly “Race for a Cure”.

The exterior has been restyled by adding an extractor hood, mesh grille, shaved door handles and tinted windows. Finally the entire car will be hand sprayed in BASF’s Cyber Gray Metallic and accented with their Pearl Hot Pink.

Let’s talk horsepower! The folks at Victory Racing Engines have built their 418 cubic inch sportsman engine package topped with a Magnacharger supercharger for a little go to this show car . It will be coupled to a Finish Line 4l80e transmission, housing a Yank 3200 stall converter. Passionately Pink will be connecting those 600 ponies to the ground threw 20″ USW Forged “Crossover” wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes rubber.

The sound stage is set for a 8 speaker, 1000w system by Kicker. It is made up of their RS 6.5" components, 10" CVR sub woofers and two DX amplifiers. All the sound held captive by Design Engineering Boom Mat that has been laid throughout the entire vehicle.

Not that I'm a big fan of pink, but the car looks great and is for a great cause!! Keep up the work! I'm really liking the hood too

Off to a great start. My wife is a cancer survivor so I am very excited to see an interesting choice with a 2nd gen Camaro as the base for a build for this cause, LOVE IT and can't wait to see the progess!

MPD1's contribution

Here is the hood for this build. I grafted a "Z Force scoop to the 2nd gen hood. Like it was made for it! I set it back a few inches and then extended the back of the scoop several inches. This is actually a full fiberglass top skin bonded to a steel frame.

That hood is AWESOME!!!!! So did you make a mold of this if it is one full fiberglass piece? Or am I mistaken?

AGREED! You should think about making a few more of those hoods for re-sale!

I did make a production mold for the topside. The underside is a steel frame that was modified a bit. I will make a production f/g underside thats completly smoothed. Hope fully before spring time. Need a 2nd gen Camaro here in order to engineer a functional underside.

Just a heads up - If your going to use an aftermarket front nose do the hood last - On my 2nd gen project I had to add about 1/2" of metal to the front of my hood to fill the gap between the metal hood and the nose.

It all depends on what manufacturer you use. If you try to buy cheap parts, you end up with cheap quality. People never seem to understand why some things are so cheap compared to others, until after they buy them

That's awesome! Make sure to post up on here when that hood becomes avaliable because I'm sure you could get some sold in a heartbeat. Also if I were closer I'd let you have a look at mine! If you do need a 2nd gen near Indy (to borrow or buy) I can try and help you locate one as I am a member at a very popular 2nd gen website that the people on are always willing to help!

Very nicely done! Do you have any more pictures of the interior? I'd like to see the gear selector, if that's what it is, on the center console.

I can't wait to see the article in Camaro Performers since we provided all the suspension for this project.

If you have any pictures of the pink BMR Suspension parts post them up.
