Ok so i am in the market for a cam going to be getting one in a few weeks once i return from Iraq. I have been doing research and as far as hp numbers for a cam i have seen that the G6X3 cam by LG seems to leading the market as far as gains withe there came gaining roughly a 100 HP. So i was just curious if there were other cams out there availble with such gains. If so who are they produced by?

There are a few cams with headers and CAI can get pretty close to 100 gain if not a little over. The G6X3 is one I've seen a decent bit about. Just make sure to get good springs and to have it degreed.

If you have any questions about the G6X3, please feel free to ask me anything.
We have been using the cam for a number of years as the LS3 was out in the Vette's in the fall of 07 and have been over 500 rwhp within a few months of getting our first LS3 car here at the shop. Of course it is the total package not just the cam that has made these numbers so do make sure you have the supporting modifications to carry that kind of power! |

We offer a 231/236 camshaft that has made some pretty stout numbers & maintains good piston to valve clearance. We typically see 90-100 with the CNC ported exchange heads & a 231/236 camshaft. Not to mention that combo is extremely affordable!

thanks for your service bro! I think LG kicks ass. There a lil more pricey but worth it imo. I believe southwest speed on here quoted me a pretty good deal on an LG set up and they were really cool to talk with

I have been seeing some stout numbers out of Thunder Racings TruTorq 5 cam over on LS1Tech. The most recent made 496rwhp and 5 others over 480.

Been hearing allot of good things about that comp 231 on LSR lobes... this is the cam I am going with, or the TSP 231.

When we do the L99 cars here with cams of that size we do the entire DOD/AFM delete kit, which turns the car over to the LS3 at that point. Remember with the larger cams and an auto tranny, a larger stall converter is required as well.
