That's a good one, I like this one too. But should we tell the makers of the commercial that the Camaro does not come with a column shift?

That commercial sucked...it doesn't tell you anything about the car, how much it is, what's new for 2012 and doesn't even really show much of the car. You can actually tell that it's a Camaro for about 9 seconds of the commercial and that's if you have studied every line of the car since the 2006 NAIAS. If GM keeps that crap up this car will be forgotten about by consumers like the 4th gen.

I would agree,if that were the only ad for the car, but it's not. It's a teaser, it's about emotion, it's so easy to find out info now. I'm glad not all commercials are like infomercials, fast talking salesman telling you all about the product in 30 sec.

It's not supposed to tell you about the car. (that's what the website is for) It's supposed to make you WANT the car. It's supposed to grab your attention not on how much horsepower it will give you, but what EXPERIENCES it can give you.

That commercial was shot on Pacific Coast Highway at Mugu Rock (the big rock on the left). It's pretty famous and it's been in a ton of movies and commercials, recently Iron Man in the shot where they're racing the to the airport (shot at Mugu Naval Air Station).

It's right up the road from here, about 25 minutes or so before you hit Malibu.

A Camaro off the line doesn't sound like that. They come so muffled and I don't know why. You have to buy your own exhaust kit for that kind of sound. I haven't looked for a related thread, but does anyone know why GM muffles them? They never did that to the previous generations of V8s. That's my biggest pet peeve of the 5th gen.

All cars come with mufflers. My last three 4th gens were all just as quiet if not quieter with stock mufflers.
