Heritage Grill?

Hey Everyone,

Long term lurker here; glad to be soon joining the Camaro family! I'm just about done finalizing my new 2012 customized Camaro to be built. It's a 1LT victory red with black stripe package, with a whole bunch of options and upgrades but minus the leather (I'm rather indifferent about it). My question is this; what is this heritage grill that I've read about? And is it affordable/worthwhile? Or only reserved for SS models? I just want to make sure I sort out all my options before pulling the trigger tomorrow and sealing the deal. Thanks everyone.

I don't know about the availability for different trim levels, but it is worth it in my opinion. It comes with a Bowtie on it, but I chose to remove it. Looks cleaner without the emblem to me.

I have a Victory Red Camaro. We installed the Heritage Grill. Mine came with a bow tie and already painted for $312.00 from Tonkin Chevrolet in Portland OR. We picked it up when we went through Portland. They will mail it to you.

Look at my car member journal & you can see how it looks.

Thanks for the replys everyone. Thank you Momsredss. Sweet ride! I'm having difficulty finding pricing on this. Can it be added as an option and how much? The only thing I see is "Body-Color Grille" for $500

I ordered mine from GM parts direct I believe. If I recall correctly it was $275 shipped and painted to match. Good deal at the time, I'm sure you can find similar ones in the market place.

Don't waste your money on this one unless you know how to paint. If you want it to match your body color go with the one from GM Part Direct. I just got my VR grille for about $275 shipped. The unpainted one from GM Parts house will still run you $217 shipped. You won't get as good a paint job from a rattle can as what the painted one is. So unless you want an all black grille, buy the painted one. BTW, the unpainted grille is not black, more like grey that doesn't match the lower grille color.

Oh yeah, forgot the unpainted one does not come with the bowtie. The painted one from GM Parts Direct does.

Yeah, spring for the body-color one. Trust me... I've seen the others and they're like charcoal gray and painting them is a real pain in the butt.
