RX Catch Can Install on 2011 v6
RX Catch Can Install on 2011 v6
Just installed the RX catch Can on my @LT/RS 2011 Camaro Vert. The mounting bracket didn't line up 100% on my year. But after some mods it fit very nice now. Drilled hole little over so the bracket would fit flush with Radiator support. Also had to bend the bracket so the can would not push up on a hose coming off the eng. attached are some Pictures. Hope it helps anyone else with same setup! |

That looks sweet. Nice clean install. Black zipties would look a little cleaner IMVHO but heck I didn't even think to do zipties LOL. Thanks for the idea though. I like the bend on the mounting plate too. I mounted mine off that same point and it butts right up to another hose which I do not like so maybe I'll copy that bend as well. Nice intake BTW. CAI's are nice.

The mod is well worth the price. You do not want that oil in your engine

This is certainly a popular mod for the V6 crowd. As it keeps the extra oil from being ingested by the engine.
Nice job on the install and thanks for sharing.

The bend adds to the look of the install somehow. It looks good. Mine just came yesterday so your picture is going to help me a lot. Thanks.

Great mod to the bracket! We can add the bend to the V6 ones from here on out.

Looks like this could be a problem for those with or planning to install a Vararam intake. Anybody here able to help clarify this potential issue?
Thanks OP for the thread. After seeing a video ( http://youtu.be/p5zug1r2TgI ) on changing oil (only info I needed was torque specs...) and the catch can drain after 3k mi.... this is my next mod (doing Clutch res mod now after parts get here).
