Angry 122 Mph in the 1/4

Took her down to Darlington SC this past Wednesday for test and tune. I was a little disappointed in the numbers. Best run of the night was 11.52@ 122(1.8 60ft. 7.5 1/8)
Never got a real good 60*usually 1.6-7* but expected more on the big end.

Tvs@ 9lbs
Mast cam
2800 stall
Meth injection
nitto 555r's

That is about 600hp at the flywheel, no? Seems like a good number.

TVS at 9lbs... maybe a little more there, but still solid numbers... Don't think the big end is where you're going to excel...

@650 you should be near 11.2 - 11.0 and 125-128.
@600 you would expect to see 11.5 and 120-123.

I am running 9psi on my TVS2300 no meth but a stick car and have ran 10.9x several times as fast as 129 mph, you should be low 11s at least. I would think the NT555Rs are the issue, but if you are getting 1.6x 60 foots that is not too bad. I use 20" NT555Rs for my daily tires and they are not nearly as good as the 18" Mickey Thompson ET Street radials i use for the track. I would like to see how your car would do on some 18" wheels and Mickey Thompson D/R.

I was thinking that also. Most maggies @ 9lbs and a cam are in the 10's

I have some M/T's. I was waiting until I burnt these nittos to the ground to mount em. The Mph after the 1/8th is what looks suspect to me.

Not exactly. Some on here have run high 10's with less than 600 RWHP

Eh..Something is off. Might make a call to mast and see if this cam is blower friendly.

I looked at my slip on the C5 fast list for a 10.93 pass and I picked up about 29 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4 mile. Could your belt be slipping? I did have to go to the cog belt setup on the back of my SC when I went to the 3.2 pulley to keep it from slipping. I also added the Jannety tensioner at the same time. My car acted somewhat like your issue then too.

True enough - there are some mathematical anaomalies on the fast list. It woild likely show in the speed vs time though. In general most power profiles would return the range specified. Any chance then DA was higher than you are used to?

I'm running the Jannetty tensioner so I don't think belt slip is the issue. 29 mph after the 8th sounds more like it!! Surprised your only making 9psi with the cog and the 3.2. Your cog 1:1?

Lol@ mathematical anomalies. No anomalies just good old racing. The car with the most HP isn't always the fastest. DA : -997
