Attention High HP Camaros New Polyurethane Transmission Mount

MTI Racing Polyurethane Transmission Mount
Fits 2010 2011 2012 Camaro V8
Part Number 206001

If you are doing any hardcore drag racing, road racing or high performance street driving you need the MTI Racing Polyurethane Transmission Mount. This polyurethane transmission mount will give you a better feel for what is going on in the drivetrain while keeping the transmission where it belongs. Less drivetrain movement equals more power to the ground.

When you add more horsepower to the vehicle, more stress is placed on the drivetrain. The drivetrain starts moving around because the soft rubber mounts get deformed, and ultimately, FAIL.

Solution:
Replace your transmission mount with the MTI Racing Polyurethane Transmission Mount

The MTI Racing Polyurethane Transmission Mount is a direct bolt-in. There are no modifications needed to install. Simply unbolt the old limpy mount, and replace with with the MTI mount.

The polyurethane mount holds shape better than rubber. Less flexing of the material means more energy delivered to the rear wheels for acceleration. This will allow you to launch harder off the line with less transmission movement. It also helps maintain proper pinion angle by controlling the movement of the transmission.

Solid mounts are just too noisy. This mount provides the proper amount of stiffness without the vibration or noise. Also, the material is long lasting. It will not decay due to oil or heat exposure.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
• Direct Bolt-In
• No modification to install
• Less driveline movement
• High-Strength Material
• Enables harder launches

I have the polyurathane motor mounts. It really minimized engine movement over the viscous damped stockers. Looking at the stock trans mounts, I'm wondering how much movement there is during hard acel/decel & hard launching. Anyone want to stick a camera down there and pull a couple of 5K launches, haha. (If I had the camera, I'd actually do this!)

I have one on the way, it will go on in the spring to coincide with the Tick Performance level 2 rebuild on my TR-6060.

MJ we did stick a gopro under the car last year. It does move enough under very high loads at when shifting and accelerating. I want to to try this mount to see if it keeps the driveshaft angle put without jumping around much. we do not have any more gopro lost them on the road as they fell out from under the car.
i just hope it doesnt transmit vibrations and stuff into the car then it will have to come off.

Hey Kevin, I received the trans mounts last Friday and plan to install tomorrow. Need to know what the torque spec is for the fasteners... I don't have access to shop manual. I sent a PM to you and email to MTI customer support asking for the specs but haven't heard back yet (figured you guys were busy).

Any chance in hell that a V6 mount is in the works? Just the simple upgrade and less driveline movement alone is worth it. I hope you guys will consider the V6 application.

Does this mount work with both auto and manual trans cars?

MTI Trans mount - some feedback...

Installed MTI polyurathane trans mount 2 weeks ago. Stock rubber mount is very loose and allows for a lot of movement - too much in my opinion - when running higher hp levels. MTI mount is beefier with thick strip of polyurathane. Didn't notice any increase in noise or vibration at idle or part throttle. Did notice some increase in vibration during hard acceleration but nothing that I'd consider to be an issue. I'm also running Prothane motor mounts.

Everyone can improve the trans mount. I was just giving suggestions on other ways to improve.

Hope that helps!

Ok the weather is finally breaking here and I got my car back with one of the items installed being the polyurethane trans mount. I've only got just over 300 miles on it since getting the car back, but the trans mount is great, no more movement of the trans at all unlike with the stock mount. Noise and vibrations are a non issue. Count me as a very satisfied customer, thanks Stephen!

Seems like this would mate up well with semi-solid motor mounts and semi solid rear diff mounts. I'm having the latter installed next week. JRE prepped 3.91 diff. Pfadt has totally solid motor mounts, the only motor mounts I've seen so far. Seems like semi solid might be a little more forgiving. I've seen this description before and it definitely peaked my interest.
