some tips for you... tell your passengers when you bring the doors down, be easy with them. they have a tendency to bounce....and bouncing is bad

also when you shut the doors, just give them a little horizontal push and they should shut just fine. alot of people tend to lean on the door a little when they shut them and that too is a major no-no... follow these steps and they sould last you a long time without major adjustments.

Maybe your door closes on its own because its parked on a decline?

there is nothing to keep the doors open this is why they close. is it a pivot and its well greased for smooth action

Very cool, do you think this is something that someone could do themselves?

I talked to a couple of body shops, and nobody wants to do them for me. They said they would seriously try to talk me out of it.
