How To Hook Your Forced Induction LS3 Power - ECS Turns to DSS, Pfadt, & Weld Racing

I have had this question raised numerous times to me; "Matt, I now have tremendous amount of power, but how do I get this thing to hook up?" . ECS has done a lot of investigating into this subject on our goal to reach the 9's stock bottom end with 18" drag radials in street-trim. We have come up with a great solution between The Driveshaft Shop & Pfadt Race Engineering. Coupled with the help from Jay over at Weld Racing, and our guys at M/T we can put this extreme power to the ground!

This build is based off of a 800 + rwhp, stock bottom end, 2010 Camaro. The customer turned to us for a great compliment of street items, but did not want to go overboard with every single bushing, and part made available. Working with Blair over at Pfadt, we were able to put together a nice package based off of the work we did on our project SS. This combination of the DSS, Pfadt, and Weld Racing will get the proper power to the tire, reliably and be able to hook on the street & drag strip situations.

Give you some details on the vehicle:

2010 Camaro
- LS3 Manual Transmission
- ECS Base Supercharger Kit, Novi 1500
- ECS Alky Control Dual Methanol Kit
- ARH 1 7/8" LTs with High-Flow Catted X-Pipe with Corsa Axle-Back
- Pfadt Lowering Springs

We are now adding the following:

Pfadt Engineering:
- Rear Control Arm Bushing Set
- Sport Sway Bars (Front & Rear)
- HD Endlink System
- Trailing Arm Bushing Set
- Adjustable Tie Rod Set

The Driveshaft Shop:
- 9" Conversion Kit
- Aluminum Driveshaft
- Strange S-Case, 3.70 Gear Set, True-Trac, 31 Spline Stubs

Weld Racing RT-S71 Style LW Street Rims:
- 18x8 Front Rims wrapped with Pirelli PZero 255/55/18 Tires
- 18x10.5 Rear Rims wrapped with Mickey Thompson 305/45/18 Street II Drag Radials

Lingenfelter:
- LPE Dual Pump Electronic Fuel System

ECS:
- ECS Custom Line Lock Kit

Due to the weather here, we are looking for some track results ASAP but most likely we will not get this down the strip until March.

I am going to keep this thread updated with installation pictures and results!!

Sweet project Matt! This should prove to be a really nice improvement with the power that your customer is putting down! Keep us updated on the progress!

That package from Pfadt is pretty stout as-is. We basically did the same package (Except with subframe bushings, & coilovers) for the ECS Hardcore edition Camaro that was featured in cover of the GMHTP November issue ("Street Lethal"); Doug took that 1k rwhp out on the road course and the Pfadt package definitely tamed the beast very well.

Give me a call to discuss the package or a PM. I'll make sure you get the best deal from us on that package !

Here's some further pictures.. Did the proper cuts for the 9" conversion, so we now have the DSS 9" conversion installed, and most of the Pfadt parts installed on the cradle already. Putting it in the car in a few minutes!
