Heater hose burning intake manifold cover (2011 SS) - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok so today i decided to clean my engine and notice that the heater hose are starting to burn the intake manifold cover its the whiteish spot in pics 3/4 (sorry for poor pic only have a camera phone no camera)

if you look close you can kinda see it

and here is with the hose out of the way

anyone else have the same issue? or is this just some random isolated incident. probley gona go to the dealership and have them look at it. might get the 2012 hose kit for free!

I don't think it's melting. Probably just some transfer from the tape, it'll probably buff out.

yep, agree with Stig, looks like the white from the tape.

Take that rubber cover and slide it back so it covers the white tape. Nothing is melting, just residue from that tape.
