Suede and ZL1 Badges
Greetings ZL1 owners, I'm new to the forum and would like to ask a few questions/comments. I'm about to place an order for a ZL1 and I'm a little unsure on the Suede package. How does the Microfiber suede wrap on the steering wheel and shifter holding up? My concern would be durability. Next question: I've read a few posts where owners are looking at moving/adding the ZL1 badge on the fender, Has anyone done it yet if so how does it look?

Get the suede, you are going to love the feel.

I got the leather and do prefer it, but it is truly a matter of preference. All accounts I have read say an occasional cleaning with a damp cloth restores the microsuede to near original condition in the event it "mats" up.

My car has the suede and I like it. I could see it wearing over time but I do not drive this car much more than a few thousand miles per year. It wasn't a show stopper for me but I'm glad I have it.

I have suede and I seriously don't think durability will be an issue at all like some are worried about. With me I don't really like the feel, but that's totally a personal preference. I would love to trade my steering wheel with someone who wants suede...
As far as badges they are on both sides of the hood and front/rear of the car. Not sure why anyone would want them on the fenders too. |

If you have sweaty hands stay away from the suede pkg. it will turn into a slick, If you dont enjoy.

No it won't... My hands were soaked after washing the car so I gave that a try. It would actually be slicker on leather.

it is personal taste really. I put the centenial edition wheel on my budies Z06 and I like it better. I have a mark on my leather wheel so it is not bullet proof. I took his a car for a bit of a drive after installing a MGW shifter and I really liked the microfiber wheel.
it does clean different and atract link more on things like the shift boot. I put a bunch of down south vette interior parts in his car. Looks wise it is way better but it doesn maintain a bit differnt. the strait leather is more meat and potatoes on maintence. you don't have to learn anthing new or lint roller the parts etc. honesly if you don't like it swap with someone. somebody out there is most likely kicking themselves for not getting it ha ha.

You make a good point about lint and stuff collecting on the shift boot...
