Not really new member. But picking up my 1SS Friday
Wanted a 2010 1SS when they came out; couldn't do it. Had to move to a more expensive home and my note on my present car was too new.
Been saving. Had a little good luck at work with some bonuses. One of my cousins (maybe a member here?) bought a 2012 2SS 6 speed in May. Guy's got balls; he couldn't drive a manual! I taught him the day before he got the car, and he drove away like a pro. Driving in it reminded me of how much I liked the car. I love my 2007 Solstice GXP; with the GMPP tune and turbo sensors; it's got almost the power/weight of the 1/2 SS and it drags around less weight in relation to available torque. But I'm a muscle car guy; spent a lot of time building V8s and restoring cars back when working for 5 hours after work installing pistons and gauging bearings and installing 12 bolts was 'fun' and not 'a chore'. So I stopped by a local Chevy dealer yesterday. And there was the stripper I wanted, in my second color choice (would have taken white): Imperial blue metallic, white stripes, no other options. I'm trading in my grin-machine for a muscle machine Friday the 22nd. Pics to follow

Chris, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

 No worries on the fridge; I WISH I was too young. Reminds me- I'm on vacation and I've been doing so much work I haven't had a single beer all week. I just removed the a/c I installed in my folks' house last week because it stopped working, and replaced it with a new one. I'm looking forward to going back to work so I can get some rest. Friday will come. When I bought my GXP, I waited a whole year to have more downpayment cash. First song I heard on the radio in the car? No joke- AC/DC's 'Downpayment Blues'
