We put various things under the hood including my fathers ashes, but right at the hood latch we have a sign that says please do not touch.

Jesus that's a lot of junk to take to every car show.
Personally, I just roll in with a camp chair, park, clean the dust off the car, set up my chair, walk around and take in all the cars that are there, then camp out in the chair. Some people take car shows too seriously, personally I'm just there to enjoy all the other cars and in some cases see old friends. It always cracks me up when you get the one or two people who are real serious about it and spend almost the whole car show cleaning their car and making it look perfect.

Me & my family take our travel trailer to every show and camp out and make it a family affair!

you don't need all that flashy junk. Kinda tacky imo.
I just bring a folding cloth chair, some extra microfibers and detailer, and thats it. The car can speak for itself. If people have questions, they can ask.

I plan to make one one of these days but right now I roll in with a car show tent, chairs and my cleaning supply tote...No need to bring all or any of my trophies to be honest. I go for fun mostly and if I win great and if I dont, no worries.

car shows are for everyone...
"All that Junk" is very important to the shower as he has obviously taken a lot of time and money in modifying his car as well as showing it off, and he has the trophies to prove it. when i go to the car shows i take cleaning products and a chair... i don't go crazy but i don't win either... maybe that's the difference between spectators and winners. Always like to see the car Farthestnorth looks great

I agree I cant stand when people bring 50 million trophies they won from 2 years ago to a show. Sure bring the plaque that shows what the cars has but not the trophies. To me all your doing is bragging and in some ways swaying the judges to you. Chair, pop up tent, rags and cleaning materials is all I need not the many trophies I won. Let the car speak for itself. |
