September 2012 Delivery (sales) Stats:

Camaro September 2012 Deliveries (actual sales): 5,670 -19 (Pr Ye)

September 2012 Production Stats:

Camaro Produced in September 2012: 9,295

Compared to Competition:

Mustang sold 4,439 units in September 2012 -12 (Pr Ye)
Challenger sold 3,230 units in September 2012 -3 (Pr Ye)

The Mustang has come back to make it neck and neck for YTD sales. The Challenger, of course, is WAY behind. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if Dodge could get their pricing down out of the clouds, the Challenger sales would go way up IMO.

I kind of bought a camaro because in my town I see 10 mustangs a day and wanted to be a little different (that and I was born and raised in a GM town)...maybe its just me.

I only see one or 2 camaros a day.

If Mustang body changes to the world car look we have seen in previews I think Camaro will win. I would not have a problem at all with 6th Gen Camaro taking ques from 2nd Gen and 7th Gen taking ques from 3rd Gen. 4th Gen was fugly in my book and I even owned one.

I totally agreed the Gen6 should take some styling ques from the 2nd Gen. Especially the roof line that made a T-Top design simpler.

Hey Enator, looks like the YTD Chart didn't populate the September sales and is still reflecting August sales numbers. Just thought I'd give you a heads up so maybe you can fix it. Mustang should be at 66,821 units and the Camaro at 68,968 units sold year to date.

Poor challenger. It's a really nice and they offer some good customizations on their website! It would be my first choice if it wasn't for the Camaro.

I have heard ( cant say who)6th gen will be just a evolved version of the 5th gen. The new chasis but outside small changes, the grill being one. No new input yet as all hush hush

I hope this is true the 5 gen is nice. i cant see chevy redoneing the whole car. its better if they evolved it then going with a new body style that might chase people away from it..

Agreed, I configured a Challenger to what my Camaro has. Granted they don't have a convertible option, so I chose sunroof and the hemi, out the door it was $51k and mine was stickered at $44k.

I have to say, the one thing I never understand about C5, is why do sales numbers matter? Is it because GM took your beloved car away before? Me, I'm an enthusiast with a aesthetic bent. Give me performance numbers and trim options instead. LOL
