2010 to 2013

I recently "upgraded" from my 2010 R6P IOM 2SS/RS to a current version of almost an identical car. When I was faced with a decision to go new or let someone take my car completely apart, strip, and refinish it, I was really torn. I ultimately decided to take option #1 for many reasons. It left me sad when I dropped the old car off and wondered "Will I ever feel the same about a 2013?" I mean, really, no offense, but a 2013 is a mid-year car. I HAD the first. Chicklets, no back-up sensors, stuck-on weights on the front calipers, steering wheel, locks, radio, gauges, etc. People that have been here from the start know all of the rest. I couldn't help but feeling like I gave up on a friend. The car I pined over for months on end, waiting for a TPW. I know everyone always says anything made since 19XX will never be worth anything but that is always proven false, eventually. This was my dream car.

As time passed and my new order came closer to fruition, the familiar searches and wait started to take hold. The excitement started to build, once again. I began to get excited for my new car and felt rotten about that hole in my garage.

On halloween, I took delivery of my new car.

I met Fbod Father in Milwaukee in 2010 and had him sign my engine cover. He told me, "We're not done, yet." I thought then it could never get any better. I've since witnessed the ZL1, the 1LE, Dusk, and many others. I'm here to say, he was right. They really have managed to make a great car better. I will forever miss my 2010 and the badge of honor that went with it. The 2013 will never be my 2010 and it cannot be replaced. But it can be better!

This car feels/drives lighter, even though I know that not to be true. The steering and suspension upgrades they have made to the 2SS have changed what was the best handling car I've ever driven into...the best handling car I've ever driven! I actually love the new wheels. I love the dash trim, the locks on the doors, the HUD, and the back-up camera and sensors! And the dual-mode exhaust? I giggle every time it hits. I can't wait to get my parts swapped on to her. I can't wait to tint her again so she feels more "mine". I catch myself peeking into the garage at her again! So...while it's different, it is the same or just as good or...better.

Just wanted to say thanks to Fbod Father, the Oshawa build team, and everyone else at GM involved in keeping the dream that is Camaro alive and working so hard to make it the best you can every day.

Thanks!!!

Cool story, nice pics... I can feel the love you have for the car! I'm NOT being flippant or sarcastic when I say (and mean!), "Cool story, Bro!"

GM has to save something to upgrade for the next year or nobody would buy the newer models. The change from my wife's 2005 to 2011 Tahoe is like night and day.

Nice, now you can change your info from (soon to be 2013) to (fresh permagrin)

The fuse im refering too to is the exhaust valve fuse so that it is open all the time ! It is located in the trunk behind the carpeted panel on right side fuse F8 ! Pull the fuse take it for a drive before you put everything back together some might not like how loud it is !
