Official BLUE RAY METALLIC Convertible Thread

My Camaro is a 2013 Blue Ray Metallic convertible, 2SS w/RS and black leather interior. Everything about this car impresses me. I drove it out of the dealer's lot with 41 miles and now have over 900. The color is a dark blue and at dusk is more of a midnight/navy blue. In bright sunshine, it shows off a purple hue.

Anyone else own one? Or, am I the only one in America? For me, this is a luxury sports car or an elegant evening "out on the town" car. The few car events I have gone to have resulted in lots of curiosity and praise. It seems there are very few blue metallic convertibles around town. I am using dri-wash ultra ion to keep it showroom new!

Here's a few pics.

This next photo is my car and my wife's 2012. Yes, we are in the Sin City Camaro Club pics at the Hoover Dam a couple of weeks ago.

If you have one, show your pics and tell us about it.

Thanks!
Marcus

Yesterday, we met up with the Sin City Camaro group at "Cars & Coffee." Brrrr, it was a chilly 37 degrees. Lots of folks and lots of different cars. I was impressed that so many people would come out on a very cold Saturday morning (around 8am). Luckily, it warmed up to around 55 degrees so we lowered our tops and cruised around Las Vegas.

This month is my most busy time at work. But, I did use this weekend to really work over the car, wheels and windows (Dri Wash Ultra Ion) and black trim (Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer). About a week ago, I had window tint put on the windows. The Dri Wash, this morning, seemed to work perfect on them.

We're headed out in a bit for another cruise (maybe to Red Rock again). Driving this car is pure pleasure. Lately, I've kept the radio off just so I can listen to the purrrr of the engine. The car gets up to speed quick! A nice surprise is how well the brakes work and they give me very positive feedback through the brake pedal. I think I have finally completed pushing every button to make sure they all work (lol).

Thanks for the photos! I can see that there are a lot of "pampered" BRM Camaros out there. I just passed through 1,000 miles. So far, I have kept the finish mirror polished. I always take a few minutes to admire the car before I head in to the office. Next week I'll go to DMV to register the car. I'll probably be over 1500 miles so it's going in to the dealer service shop for an oil and filter change to Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W - 30 and nitrogen in the tires.

Driving the car continues to be pure pleasure. Yesterday, as I drove home from work, some pretty strong winds kicked up here in Las Vegas. The car handled extremely well and I was pleasantly surprised that there was not much wind noise inside. Steering is very positive. Acceleration is available every time I need it! This car gets up to speed quick and it's something I have to get used to (when I look at the heads up display I am always passing through 75 mph - lol).

Merry Christmas! Later today, I am sure I will be out cruising.

No time for cruising. Christmas Day and we had family to visit. While we were on the highway headed for family fun, my wife and I had our own fun cruising our Camaros as a "flight of two." I took the lead and easily pushed it to 85 mph (effortless). Las Vegas traffic can get nasty. More than once I've used the precise steering and great acceleration to get out of trouble.

We're using, exclusively, Shell V-Power Premium (91 Octane). Seems to work well for our cars.

Our only mods so far are tinted windows, black chevy bow ties and the Sin City stickers. I did install an Escort 9500iX radar detector in each car. We've probably already paid for them (lol). Acceleration is so smooth that we both find ourselves above 80 mph.

The weather will be too cool for top down driving. Soon enough, it will begin to warm in to the 60s. We've driven with and without the tonneau cover. At the moment, we're in favor of using it when the top is down. Let's see how lazy we get over time.
