Stock g35 vs modified Camaro SS round two

Camaro SS has intake/exhaust(muffler delete) and is 2010 L99 auto

G35 is 2007 sedan bone stock 5-speed automatic.

Not hard to believe honestly. Good running G35 and now you know why I traded my Slug99 for an LS3, still without a tune at 27000 miles and would whip the crap out of my past L99 with intake , headers and tune anyday. Plus LS3s pull way harder in the high end.

These thread are getting old.
The Camaro SS looks to be running big heavy wheels for starters (Am I right?, What size and weight are those wheels?).

Find a bone stock L99 A6 with no mods (stock wheels) and race it. Stop finding the slowest L99 in the country to race. Or find an L99 with mods that made it faster, not slower.

The L99 in the Videos is getting off the line extremely slowly. A look at the actual time slip would prove that I'm sure.

Intake, headers, and a tune (good tune) makes an L99 a fast car (mid 12s on stock tires, low 12s with drag radials). It will easily beat up on a stock LS3 like no ones business at the drag strip.

Maybe your car had a bad tune. All my buddies with intake, headers, and tune run easy mid 12s in the L99s (in fair weather).

My L99 A6 ran 12.16 @ 114 mph (intake, headers, tune, 20" wheels). Even in hot summer weather, it never ran slower than 12.4s - 12.5s with intake, headers, and tune (20" wheels).

Not hard to understand here people G35 got the jump EVERY single run. Getting the break on average is going to give you at least .5 secs advantage.

That wheel set up the Camaro is running looks awful too. Are those 21-22s? Probably cheap rubber too.

On track LS3s with the transmission is a dog but on real not strip surface my LS3 would eat the L99 with mods. Track favors a trans with better shifting capabilities that's why the L99 is faster quicker. Great that your L99 traps 114 though, you seem to get some good times and I also think the guy that tuned your is one of very very few who really knows how to tune these cars.

Yea, I trapped 114.97 mph (basically 115 mph) with 20" wheels and bolt ons (stock gears, stock converter, full weight, etc), Not too many L99s that can say that (with a 12.1x sec E.T.) I believe I have on of the fastest times in this forum with 20" wheels (bolt ons)

My tuner is very good. I've put my car up against other L99s (mod for mod) and I've always come out on top.

well tuned and setup L99s haul axx.

It's so ridiculous.
He finds the slowest L99 in the country and video tapes races trying to prove a point. Then later we usually find out the car's running on 22" wheels or there's something wrong with its tune.If he posted the time slips, we could see the slow 60' times.

If he was in my area, I'd set him up with some lightly modded L99s to race. It would be extremely ugly for him.

And I also wish I had taped the race I had against a new Viper (in which I won) at our local 1/8 mile. Those new Vipers are turds.

O lord, here we go again. I'm chiming in once and that's it.....once again I ran 12.7 @ 109 with my l99 only with CAI and very good tune, not even running long tubes yet...still on stock tires. My l99 can run with most stock ls3's if not better, even some Ls3's with tune also....ok, I'm done

You can clearly see the Infinity had a WAY better reaction time. Looked like the camaro was sleeping at the start!

These threads are getting old ? I only got 5 runs in total last night and had gopro on every time. 2 of those runs they lined me up against slow turds like 1999 Silverado or a new 5.7 tundra. We don't get to choose who we line up against. I wanted to line up against modified g8 gt who was constantly doing 13.8-13.9 or r/t challenger that was doing repeated 14.0 flats honestly.

I told him about the potential of his L99 and what my friend's ran(albeit in much lower DA), tried telling him about fuse pull mod, different tuners, etc.

I don't think you understand this was the only 5th gen running last night. His 13.4 run was very good considering the DA and all things. The L99's average mid-high 13's, with one exception being my friends. Lol.

I have never seen any bolt on l99/ls3 Camaro break 12's. Only 5th gens I have ever seen break 12's at the track were a ZL1 and twin turbo 11 second Camaro.

His car is an excellent example of what I see an average Camaro SS L99 driver on an average day do at our track.

I am car 443, he is car 403.

Here's the 1st run:

Here's the 2nd run:

Here's the 3rd run:

Both of our cars got slower as the DA went up. His was more effected IMO. He said it was in full auto mode.

I beat him 2 times and he beat me by .05 of a second that first time. It was fun races.

Omg this guy finds the slowest cars in the country! You never seen a Bolton 5th gen break 12s... Are you freaking kidding me dude! You know how many 12 sec 5th gens I have seen, you must know and race with complete idiots! My car ran 12.8s with a best of 12.6s with zero mods expect headers in summer heat. Why don't you buy a real car since you seem to be this drag strip hero, you could at lest live the part and drive something worth a damn taking to the track!

We have a member in this forum that ran high 11s (bolt ons only - L99) in Oklahoma. Yet this guy has never seen one run 12s.
And he purposely races L99s with big heavy aftermarket wheels that can't do better than 2.1 sec 60'.

Did that modified G8 have the pulled plug wire mod, or the 500 lbs of cement in the trunk mod?

Lol the slips speak for themselves. You picked a driver didn't know what they were doing or were just test n tuning. I've never seen anyone actually trying to race get .6xx R/T

12.3 with stuff in sig. Guy in my work building as the coupe G37, it's a nice car but definitely a lot slower than mine from a light... high 11's now vs high 13's.

I have the vids of the g8 gt running 13.8s on my 16 gb Sony HD camera.... Would you like for me to upload them?

I did get drug tonight by a g8 gt with intake/tuned and some suspension work, but beat a stock g8 gt(very slow pull).

Let me also set a few things clear.

1- He is the faster car, never denied it anywhere. If anything just look at the timeslips.

2- Your d!ck size is not measured by how fast your 1/4 mile time is.

3- SS is badass car that, stock for stock, it will walk any 350z/g35/g37/370z. Both drivers, setting, prep, and DA being equal. Would love to own one, just doesn't fit my current situation.

4- You don't have to post your full bolt on SS's 1/4 mile time and compare it to a stock v6 family sedan. This is all for fun, I don't care what you ran. We both know which is the faster car. Nothing to prove.

5- I just found this scenario interesting, better driver(r/t) vs faster car(e/t) makes for a fun video.

Lol like it or not I am being completely honest. I know the capability is there just never seen it happen.

Here's the best possible DA thunder valley ever gets. It was about 45-50 degrees out.

Tuned only is white SS. Black one is 2013 auto stock L99. Both still have dealer temp tags.

People in our car group call his white Camaro a "factory freak" for running those times. Even though that's what I would have thought they all run if I had never observed what most actually run.

This is shiznight's car, it hauls. He is right with srt8 charger with intake/exhaust and tune that trapped 111 mph.

His best time with tune(fuse pull mod and some race gas mixed in) was 13.0 @ 107, best time/trap with intake/tune was 13.0 @ 108.

Here's what other cars run at our track, enjoy.

I was there for 6 hours straight recording races, had 143 total. Did this all for you guys. Hell.... I even devoted a youtube channel to races that I recorded. I paid $10 for that opener too for each video.
So please.... go ahead, school me on what cars typically run what times at Thunder valley lol. I am there almost every Friday night recording races.
