Anyways on to today's mod requested by a member. Technostalgia Taillights. In my opinion these look great. Great for a show car or real world applications. My personal score is 8/10 I also want to say that when applicable I will try to use pictures and videos to represent the mods in question just to give people an idea of what the mod is like if they do not already know. I pull these at random either from Google, YouTube or even this website. If you find that I have used something you submitted and want me to take it down please let me know and I will immediately! If you have any suggestions on what you would want to see next on Rate That Mod please let me know and send me a PM! Last edited by FaytalsCamaro; 05-30-2013 at 10:34 AM. |

4/10. I like the idea of them, but it needs to be smaller leds, of they need to be diffused, or ccfl, or something.
Big ole' bubbly LEDs are totally not my style and they look very cheap to me. I also think the weird flashing thing that happens when you hit the brakes is cheesey. Ive also heard of tons of people on this forum having problems with them |

I have mixed feelings about these lights. Overall, the idea is great and the lights look really good (they are nicer than stock and a more flowing led would make them even better), however, the execution borderlines that zone between cool and gimmicky. The rapid fire should be taken out altogether or turn the light solid on the second round of burst instead of the third. The hazards are also way too fast. As it is, I'd hate to be driving behind a car with these lights in stop and go traffic (looks like a Christmas tree).
More importantly, aren't users having battery problems due to their high load when the car is off? I don't drive everyday so that's a major downfall right there. 6/10 |

I have a set of these and they are one of the first mods that I have done. With that being said there is room for improvement on them. I would like a slightly smaller LED so there is more LEDs in the housing and the double sided tape that held the inverts to the car didnt even last a year. Now granted this is Florida so I will cut some slack there. But the inverter placement could have been better.
Over all though I give these a 9/10 |

Their not bad but if I wanted sequential tail lights I would have bought a mustang 3/10

A little too flashy (no pun intended) for my liking. Don't mind the turn signals, but those bright quick flashes when brakes are applied are quite irritating.
From a safety standpoint though, they are probably quite affective. 4/10

8/10. I don't have them myself but have a friend who bought a set used. Installation went fine but come to find out that there was a problem with them. Probably caused by the previous owner. Emailed technostalgia for help and more than a week later no response. As someone stated earlier if you buy them (because they are cool) just pray you don't have an issue.
