Just curious, used oil filter inside pics ......
If any of you have the means I'd be curious on your next oil change to see them cut open and the paper filters spread apart to see what you find.
I'm just wondering if anyone has shavings from an oil pump. My Melling oil pump was a bit worn and ground. Post them up if anyone at all is interested. EXAMPLE: |

Thanks for the link.
But if you look at my filter you only see a used filter with no dicernable junk. It wasn't til I cut the paper and spread it open that I saw any shavings. They gather at the inner crease because of the volume of oil pushing them inward. My main reason for this thread is to see deep inside the filter. |

PQ you need to forget about looking DEEP inside your filter and look DEEP inside your engine LOL. ![]()
