Fuel and emisson sensors

Is there a DIY on what fuel sensors I need, where they are and how to replace them? My car is no longer under warranty and my fuel guage doesn't work and the check engine light is on. Went to Auto Zone for their free reading and they said it was the fuel sensors and emission sensor. Any direction on this would be much appreciated, thanks!

Get the actual codes then do a search on them.
That will point you in the right direction.
The info they gave you is too general.

could be any number of things, my suggestion would be to have it diagnosed, could be a dozen different things, codes are only there to point the tech in right direction, anything from the fuel gauge to the fuel pump assy could be the problem or it could be a software problem in which case no number of parts will fix it spend the hundred bucks and get it diagnosed then you can decide on the proper course. Good luck

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I need an oil change anyway so I'll probably just have them look at it at that point.
