need some help with exhaust

I have a l99 with slp longtubes and high flows. I will be installing an Ls3 STOCK Catback to cut down on cabin noise. Will I lose any performance removing my aftermarket exhaust.?

Installing an LS3 catback will not cut down cabin noise, if anything it "may" enhance it a bit since you are losing the resonator. Either way I cannot see how you think there is cabin noise with the stock system.

But no, there would be no performance loss.

You won't lose any power but you will add some weight. A stock LS3 cat back probably won't do anything for interior sound.

Well, I might have to disagree somewhat here. I just installed Kooks LT's and their hi flow cats and left the stock cat back alone. I see no difference in cabin noise at any normal driving mode. It is way louder under heavy throttle, but nice and tame normally. I love it. Mine is LS3 though

Now if you are changing stock L99 for stock LS3, you are going in the wrong direction, LS3 is louder. I'm assuming you are removing an aftermarket system

Get rid of the Dynomax bullets and get the Dynomax VT Axleback..... Interior noise will then be nill. Or add J-Pipes to your Bullets, run about 150 and well worth the money.

As far as performance, your exhaust is simply for sound...the performance gains/losses are typically attributed to the difference in weight.

LS3 Stock vs your current X-Pipe and Bullet Mufflers WILL be quieter...

Ah, I thought you were going stock to stock.

I am removing an aftermarket system and have afm tuned out so I suspect the ls3 catback will give me a decent sound. any sound clips ?
