MyLink Weather Alert Issue

Anyone else with MyLink have problems with getting the weather alerts to shut off? In the weather menu I have turned all the alerts off only to still receive multiple pop ups daily about flood watches a few counties away.

Any reason why settings wont save?

I just got a 2014 Malibu with Mylink and has been having the same issue. Been searching for a fix but haven't found anything yet.

I realize how displeasing it can be when faced with a MyLink concern like this GOMD, and though you're seeking thoughts and opinions, I would be happy to communicate this situation with the designated Customer Experience Manager at your preferred dealer. Feel free to message us privately if you'd like to proceed, or discuss this situation further.

This is my biggest problem with Mylink. It is so annoying. The warnings would be okay if it was just for real emergencies.

Sorry I have not been back in the thread, but on another post a c5 member said you cannot stop weather alerts until you are out of your trial period. I assume all of us with the problem just recently bought our cars? I got mine 2/8/14.

Interesting. I should call GM and ask. It drives me crazy because it's all turned off and why should we get alerts for counties 400 miles away?

I would like the weather alerts feature if it gave me alerts that actually related to me. I have never seen an alert for my area, but I get tons of alerts for counties 3 hours away. Is there a way to change this?

Mine does this as well. Just bought the car a week ago. I tried to turn off the non important alerts with no success. Why wouldn't you be able to do so while still in the trial period?

I have had this issue since I bought the car. I always seem to get them from the 2 same counties in NC. Which are about 250 miles away...
