THANKS For Posting!

That chart at the end is a thing of beauty. Perfectly linear HP curve, monster, flat TQ across the rev range. It just doesn't get more perfect than that. Chevy, you know how to build and tune an engine. Wow.

There is nothing I want to touch on that engine because it's already said it'll break the rears loose in 3rd gear. More power accomplishes nothing except to make it more difficult to drive (with precision and consistency). Any mods that add bumps (peaks) to the HP or TQ curves defeat the purpose of a track car where linearity of power delivery is critical. And I want a warranty.

All I want is weight savings. Ti exhaust, LiON battery and maybe some carbon/kevlar where it makes sense if it doesn't compromise fit/finish and crash worthiness.

Just WAG'ing here but 535hp less 15% drivetrain loss equals 455 hp. Interesting food for thought. Yes, I know all dynos read different numbers, but it was surmised by some folks that the Z/28 LS7 was underrated based on its performance. Fuel for that fire.

Furthermore, this is presumably a new car with few miles, it's going to make more power once it is fully broken in.

Another win for the Z/28 as far as I am concerned.

What a sweetheart of an engine. This one will go down in the history books as the final and best iteration of the LS7.

I'm not surprised at the numbers.....we built 70 plus LS7 Camaro's back in 2009-2011 so we've seen how that motor reacts as a crate engine....the new Z has a better exhaust system, better intake system and the dry sump oiling system ......We made around 425 with a LS7 with stock LS3 exhaust manifolds and exhaust, stock LS3 airbox.....so the difference makes sense...

The lowest pull made 448......

Thanks for posting the video, a lot of people were wondering what that dyno chart would look like

Couldn't agree more. At some point -- when I feel I've "mastered" the car -- I might consider talking to Katech. Until that time I'm going to just enjoy the car to the max. Going crazy not knowing when mine will ship, as I'm on the verge of missing a ton of track day events at Sears Point...

I believe VIN # 52 got a signed build sheet in the centre console glove box under the rubber matting.

I bet with just a tune these cars will be easily over 460whp and with LT headers will be close to 500whp... IMO...
