What wheel/tire set-up for dd/drag

Trying to decide what route to go for a fairly cheap drag pack and dd friendly setup. Done some research and it seems the 18" nurburgrings net the most weight savings over the stock 20's. I've considered dismounting my stocks and having them powdercoated gloss black for austhetics obviously but I don't want to waste my money on that if I can turn around and sell my stock rims and tires for say 1,500 or so only have 9k miles on them. What gains in et and seat of the pants feel did y'all notice going heavy stocks to the 18's thanks

You can mount the Mickey Thompson ET street radial on the back with your stock rims and do pretty darn good, be very careful if you have to drive in the rain.

Use plasti-dip instead of powder coat. You're probably look at more like $1,000 at the top end for a set of rims/tires.

The OEM wheels are heavy pigs though. I remind myself of that every time I have to take them off. It's too bad I like the looks of them so much.

If you want to buy another set of rims the TSW Interlagos are about as light as you can get at a reasonable price. 18" is probably the easiest all around, but I have 17" welds for drag racing, 19" TSW for road racing and drive on the stock rims on the street. The stock rims are kind of heavy.
