Anyone recognize this bolt?

Driving up a hill a heard a clink, I turned around and found this in the road.
Its about 5 inches long and probably 10mm thread 13mm hex head.
I am 300 miles from home and I cant slide under car to see anything.

I don't even know if its from my car or not It may have been in the road and I just drove over it.
I am a little panicked right now...HELP

Does it look familiar to anyone?

Looks like a starter bolt by the knurling and length.

This.

Knurl (crosshatch machining on the unthreaded diameter between the threads and bolt head) is the tell-tale. But since Ive never had a starter off a new Camaro, can't say if it fell off your car.

Thanks guys.
This forum is awesome, I managed to find a shop open this holiday weekend and the put it back in.
I couldn't get under the car to see it but when it was on the lift It was clear as day.

is there anything that is supposed to go in the counterbored hole next to it?

What are the chances of a starter bolt just falling off of a car? LOL

Camaro5. Where you can post a picture of a bolt and they'll tell you where it goes on your car

Great news that 1. you heard it fall out, 2., you found it after it fell out, and , 3. that you found someone to re-install it!! The way your luck is running today, you need to go buy a lottery ticket!!!!

Now: these things just dont "fall off", provided the bolt was properly torqued, and the knurl was supposed to further prevent backing out. Has anyone worked on it recently?

Also, I hope whoever you had re-install it checked the other bolt for proper torque value?

I know I got lucky. My wife made me turn around to go check.
I saw it in the road and thought no way did that fall off my car. but when I picked it up and it was warm, I started to get worried.

No one has worked on my car recently, I did run US 129 (tail of the Dragon) the day before. But I think a properly torqued bolt should be able to stand up to a hard day of driving.

This reminds me of the old days when i was a teenager and just started driving.
I used to have an old Datsun from tbe early 70s, had a bumper sticker that read- (The parts falling off this car are made of tbe finest Japanese quality)
