I am unsure about the whole reprogramming thing. It worked in my 2013 just fine. I dont know the answer to that.

talked to dealer and they said that all you have to do is bring in the unit after installed and they will input your VIN into the unit and you are good to go...

GEN5DIY sells a 2010 upgrade package that includes everything needed. All you need is the kit from GEN5DIY and the control unit reprogrammed by the dealer with your VIN or I think that GEN5DIY is also doing reprogramming...
