dual mode exhaust
Has anybody ventured to pull the fuse out to compare the sound, assuming we have dual mode exhaust.

I took mine out and shorted it to blow the fuse, then re-inserted it. It is definitely a more desirable sound to me. Haven't had a problem with the police, but if I do I can say hey it is all stock, maybe the fuse blew let me take a look.

I took mine out and put it into the spare fuse slot. The car sounds mean as it does above 3K rpm in the lower rpms. Nice and rumbling all the time, and stock.

Why did you blow the fuse? I pulled mine and tossed it in the center console.

I did the fuse pull, I think it makes the car sounds 100% better. Deeper, more crackle. I pulled it, and put it in the glove box.

i would suggest getting a mild2wild kit. it lets you control when you have the fuse pulled or not. Its nice to be able to tone it down during certain circumstances. i have mine hooked up to two of garage door openers i dont use

Search npp 3 way switch. A lot cheaper than the mild2wild and you can get 3 modes with that setup.

Pulling the MPP fuse is the quickest and best mod on the Z/28 ... two seconds of labour = countless hours of exhaust audio ecstasy.

Completely agree. As good if not better than aftermarket sound IMO.

I did the mild2wild only because I have long tube headers and high flow cats and a cam. When I leave for work at 5:30 am I want it as quit as I can. Afternoon and nite its hell raising time. Easier than pulling the fuse and putting it back in.
