Waiting to get a 2012 ZL1 AGM with less than 3000 miles on it.

I have a 2012 2SS/RS that I have listed for sale here, but if all else fails I will keep it.

I am waiting on a 2012 ZL1 in AGM to be delivered to a dealer here in San Diego, it has 2751 miles on it for $43,998.

I think it is a a very fair price given the mileage. Can't wait for it to get here....

This might be a dumb question, but why do ZL1's with low mileage go for about as much as a brand new SS?

That's $10k off of the original MSRP...for a used 3 year old car. Seems about right to me. Its also close to what you could have got a new ZL1 for with the 20% deal.

I paid $46k for a brand new one with Recaro's, polished wheels, suede inserts, and carbon fiber hood. Window sticker was 62k. I think your overpaying. I bought my car on Jan2nd.

Comparing a rare offer from GM that you were able to purchase does not mean that he is paying too much.

Do you have any details on how you got the zl1 for such a bargain price?

If anyone wants proof of my "unsubstantiated price claim" as someone posted, look at the next post. It's the bill of sale.
As far as my smart ass NY response deal with it.... Or don't. I really could care less.
I bought the car with the 20% off from GM and also got dealer cost on the car. The dealer was a small farm community dealership in PA. He doesn't sell 62k Camaro's.....he sells trucks he told me lol. The car had been sitting on his showroom floor since Jan 2014. Also, he gave me $2,000 MORE on my 13SS trade then I paid for the car 3 months ago. He said he could sell a used one easier. I can of course prove that as well.
The point to all this is not to brag about my deal. It is to tell the OP there ARE deals to be had if you wait, do your research and have patience. It takes a little luck, and being in the right place at the right time. Hard but far from impossible. Quigly Chevrolet. The silver SS on there website was mine. Go look. Best of luck to you whatever you decide. It's a unbelievable car and anyone fortunate enough to own one will surely love it.
This pic is when I firdt got her home. pA stickers still in the window lol. Yes I know my hood is open. I was showing my son what a supercharger is haha.

vic,

You got a smoking deal. Who cares what others think around here.

The ZL1 is an awesome car. Enjoy it.

I bought mine for right around 40k.....

Haters gonna hate.

We all know that 20% off was offered on a very small inventory of new zl1s. Those that got them got a great deal. 90% didn't. I got a smart ass comment simply because I stated that a mint 2012 with very low miles that the OP was interested in seemed reasonably priced. This individual couldn't comprehend that any deal not on par with his might still be a pretty reasonable deal

It's all relative anyways. I paid sticker for mine and could care less. Some buy used, some get discounts, some pay over sticker. At the end of the day this dude is getting a great car
