Hello from SE Idaho
Hello everyone. Longtime reader who finally chose to create an account and get social. Figured I should introduce myself after using this site for so many years. The info here has been great, but spending time in a forum is like spending time in a casino - it's expensive.
This is my second Camaro. Had a '12 IOM SS/RS M6 - loved it - but last August had to switch to a '14 Red Hot SS A6 cuz my leg got gimpy. The Camaro clutch is difficult at best. I miss the M6 most days, but then I go drag racing... Done a few things so far. Camaro5 has been great with info. LT headers, HF cats, x pipe, CAI, Borla S type, wheels, BMR sways - all good stuff. My fave is the square wheel setup with Michelin PSS, but the sways were sure nice too. Anyway... I might be the only one on here from East ID, but thanks for letting me crash the party! |

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

I am here as well..
Every time I drive my truck to freddys I see your car there, but never when I am in my car ;-/ first time I saw it there I thought the driver might have been sitting with all the BCSO corrections people. Last edited by MattIdaho; 05-18-2015 at 09:28 AM. |

Welcome to the club... I too was a long time reader (since around 2011) and just registered early this year. It was absorption mode, learning about our cars, and gathering info and wisdom from those that have done whatever...
Still the case, but now I've got info and wisdom to add about these rides and so here I am... |

I was starting to feel like those deer this weekend :-/ I went up north to island park for the weekend. and just has some rain in the forecast so of course I chose to drive the chrome arrow. well I woke up to about 7 inches of snow Saturday morning..
It melted off before I headed back yesterday. |

Thanks everyone! Glad to connect with other Idaho folks. Let me know if you ever hear about fun stuff going down in the area - car things are few and far between.
Cheers! |

You into autocross at all? Club meets at BHS starting soon. Not many car shows, there's that "Carmus" thing coming up next month I think...

Yes, I joined the SCCA about 6 years ago, and I race in East Idaho as well as UT. I hit the drag strip when I can, but they are so far away and so crowded. Hopefully I'll catch up with some of you guys this summer.

Good to see some more Idahoans on the forum. Peterson Chevrolet is sponsoring the midnight drags at Firebird on 6/13/15. Maybe you can make it.
About the only time I wish I didn't have a manual is at the strip, but sure glad to have it for everything else. |
