Trunk capacity and opening?
Did anyone get any pics of an open trunk and/or the cargo specs? Given the shorter rear overhang, I've got to believe cargo space went down?
And I hope to God they did something to make the opening into the trunk bigger. This manhole cover-sized opening on the 5th Gens is ridiculous.

The ATS coupe is 10.4 ft3, so I wouldn't expect much more than that. The 5th gen Camaro is 11.2 for reference.

Someone posted pictures on here in another thread. Not sure which one though. The opening is still pretty small. Someone at the reveal said it is seems narrower but deeper.

I did a search but no results. I'll try it again.

The opening looks just as narrow as the Gen5 in the pics that I have seen. I would've thought they had fixed this, but I guess not.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Given the shorter overhang, how could it not be?

I cannot BELIEVE how small those trunks are on both the 5th Gen and the new 6th Gen. I have a box w/2 10s and could STILL fit golf clubs in the back of my Shelby.
I never use my trunk though, so it could be igloo cooler sized for all I care.

And the actual 'opening' inside the trunk is smaller than it appears. Look at the material just inside and below the rear-most part of the opening. That looks to limit space even more but I'm not sure what it is?

I could barely fit my rifle case in my 15's trunk. I doubt I will be taking a 6th gen to the range.

I'm the one that took those pics in the 500+ thread.
The trunk seemed slightly deeper than the 5th gen and also longer front-to-back. The opening did seem a smidge smaller though, and it's definitely narrower left-to-right. But it's a smaller car too, so...

Yes, it is a smaller car and there are a lot of great things about. I could even live with the smaller cargo capacity but the design and size of the opening is very poor. Thanks again!
