So I was changing out the headers on my camaro and disconnected the battery and had my car on stands and once I turned it on the stability service control sign pops up it does go away but then it comes right back is there anyone with any idea why this might have happened

I was looking for a blown fuse and it came on but went away after a few hundred yards down the road. I am thinking it comes on for any issue instead of something that says what the real issue is.

Thanks will keep looking for any little sign . But still do you think it's safe to drive and to use as a daily ?

Maybe drive with a little more awareness of how hard you're driving and how much grip is available to your car's tires.

Just because your ST is inop does not mean that your car is going to suddenly spit you off the road for no reason at all; that'd be up to you for doing something careless or stupid. But you should get it checked out and any faults corrected.

I have good tread on my tires and drive very aware . But I'm getting it scanned right now it's not worth taking any risks .

Good call.

I wouldn't want to second-guess what anybody's stability control system may be correcting its basic vehicle for. Not since I know that the "fix" for lift-throttle oversteer in one particular SUV was to recalibrate the vehicle's ESC rather than fix the problem mechanically/physically.

Misfire? Cracked spark plug? Wires not on tight enough?

Assuming the CEL is on, get the codes read. This happened to me once, and I freaked out just like you probably are. I checked the codes and all four passenger injectors were open due to a blown fuse under the hood. 20 amp fuse later and back to normal. Keep us posted!

Misfire in cylinder 7 caused all those lights to come on so I switched the spark plugs and The original was burned out pretty bad so I just switched them and the problem was gone .... Thanks for your responds really appreciate it !

Glad to hear that it was a minor issue. It is always scary with these 'newer' cars because they are so dependent on the incredible amount of electronics. Something so simple can make the car act like there is something seriously wrong.
