I was looking for a blown fuse and it came on but went away after a few hundred yards down the road. I am thinking it comes on for any issue instead of something that says what the real issue is.

Maybe drive with a little more awareness of how hard you're driving and how much grip is available to your car's tires.
Just because your ST is inop does not mean that your car is going to suddenly spit you off the road for no reason at all; that'd be up to you for doing something careless or stupid. But you should get it checked out and any faults corrected. Norm

Good call.
I wouldn't want to second-guess what anybody's stability control system may be correcting its basic vehicle for. Not since I know that the "fix" for lift-throttle oversteer in one particular SUV was to recalibrate the vehicle's ESC rather than fix the problem mechanically/physically. Norm

Misfire? Cracked spark plug? Wires not on tight enough?

Assuming the CEL is on, get the codes read. This happened to me once, and I freaked out just like you probably are. I checked the codes and all four passenger injectors were open due to a blown fuse under the hood. 20 amp fuse later and back to normal. Keep us posted!

Glad to hear that it was a minor issue. It is always scary with these 'newer' cars because they are so dependent on the incredible amount of electronics. Something so simple can make the car act like there is something seriously wrong.
