Drop springs recommendation?

Been going back and forth about which to go with, mostly brands. I know I only wanna drop the car about an inch just to get rid of the wheel gap. What do yall recommend as far as brands go and if 1 inch is a good idea or not (not trying to slam it I scrape enough as it is) and maybe for sway bars too? Those are definitely on my list

Thank You!!!!

for 1" i would go BMR or Hotchkis. I was bouncing between the 2 when I was searching for my SS. I ended up buying the Hotchkis only due to a smoking deal i got for their Stage 1 kit (springs & sways). Hoping to get them installed in the next couple months. Having spoken with both BMR and Hotchkis' guys on the forums i don think you could honestly go wrong either way.

At 1" you are not going to have any problems except in the more extreme situations. My local Kroger has speed bumps that are about 4 inches tall and 4 foot wide. Makes our SUV feel like Bigfoot ramping over a row of cars. BMR 1" springs are a solid option that I have personal ran on 2 of my own cars. They have a lower spring rate than the Hotchkis springs mentioned above so they will ride better.

So do you think maybe 1.25" would be too low?? Sounds like BMR is where I'll be going and I found a set of 4 1.25" drop springs for $199

Not at all, 1.25" is also just fine but you don't want to go much lower than that on lowering springs.

They are progressive. Liner rate lowering springs are rare. They are usually only on coil overs anymore. The effective rate on Hotchkis are 210/440.

MrRaspberryJam - BMR offers both 1" and 1.25" springs at a great value. Either choice will work well with the factory suspension.

Kind regards,

I just lowered mine with BMR's split drop springs, 1.4" in the front and 1" in the back. I would second BMR.

This. They are somewhere between a progressive and linear spring. Kind of like two linear springs stacked on one another.

also want to lower my 2015 SS 1in, will I need to change shocks/struts to match the new spring rate, and any other recommendations on other suspension mods to go with the lower stance. driving this car to work 100 miles per day curvy mountain roads, no track or race. any advice on best springs that keep closest to factory ride, thanks
