I bought a 2SS PDIM off ebay that I'm going to try installing in my 1SS. I couldn't find a mini B to USB A female cable at Frys so I'll have to make my own. I bought a mini B to male USB cable that I'll cut and solder on a USB A female connector from a motherboard header USB cable.

I'm currently busy at work so I won't be able to get started for another day or two.

I spliced the two cables together and I will try to install the PDIM tonight.

Hopefully it will add a USB port and Bluetooth to my 1SS since the convenience and connectivity package is not an option for it.

Awesome. Keep us posted. But I think you're missing a wire. You're likely going to need something that goes from the PDIM > Stereo. It's how the stereo talks to the PDIM module and controls it. As of now, your PDIM will be off in space and likely won't do anything. I don't think it will even show up as an option to switch to when you plug a USB device in. I posted a bit of analysis of the schematics a while back. Maybe it's already there and just not connected? Or maybe I'm just wrong altogether?

There will be a factory PDIM part available for the 1LS and 1SS soon.....I'll have more info in a few days.

I would REALLY like the USB port and Bluetooth option in my 1SS as well. I'm rooting for ya slickrick!!!

I found the spot where the PDIM goes but I don't see the 20 pin black connector harness :(

Can someone post a picture of where the the 20 pin connector is located?

I thought maybe the harness was tucked in somewhere but this picture confirms that the 20 pin harness is not there: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...72&postcount=2

I was hoping someone could tell me what comes in the PDIM kit that you can order from GM that way I know what I'm missing.
