Toyota Subaru joint RWD coupe

Friend gave me these pics apparently of the joint Toyota-Subaru RWD coupe spotted in the UK. supposed to be lightweight, cheap and have the boxer engine (2.0 litre boxer engine with about 220 horsepower). i think cars are all too heavy these days and would love something like this which reminds me of an AE86 toyota!

Still clad in some Legacy parts I think.

I really hope it is a TRUELY light car. Supposedly they will be offering AWD as well, so it might step all over the Sti's toes as well!

Looks like it still has some Legacy parts? Unless that's their plan to share some parts with it.

Speculation is Subaru outside of Japan and Toyota for the Japanese market.

If it looks good I might just go this route. No doubt it will be both fast and fuel efficient. This just goes to show you can have your cake and eat it to. GM take notes.

I was really interested in this car, but then I found out Toyota's contribution is quality control. I'd rather not have a car with weekly recalls thanks. Such a disappointment.

Talk about some head room. Not my favorite, IMO.

It's a mule, exactly the same as the 5th gen started out as a Commodore with a chopped body and two doors.

Looks like crap. Way too freaking tall.

And if toyota's running quality control, you can expect random things to go wrong and toyota to blame the problems on you being distracted or you not understanding how to drive the car.
