After market backup camera
Is there an aftermarket backup camera that will connect to my factory my link screen. All I have been able to find are the ones that you have to change the rear view mirror

There is but the cost of buying and installing one is cost prohibitive. Apparently you need an expensive interface to make the connection. The interface runs around $600.

Interface? Maybe your thinking of a front camera?
You can add a backup camera its not that hard. But if your radio is not programmed for it you would have to go to a dealer and have it added. Many have had that done. See if you have the option for backup camera in your menu on the MyLink |

The dealer told me they couldn't do it said I should take it to a local audio shop and that they can do it. By the audio shop can only get on that shows on the rearview mirror. I thought it was kinda strange that the dealer can't do it but said it can be done.

Talk to Gen5diy. The dealer certainly can do it. Maybe that one just doesn't have a clue.
I added a MyLink with a backup camera to My 2011 with the grid lines. I couldn't live without it. The actual cameras are not that expensive. You only need the programming to be there. Go to your menu display settings and see if rear camera is listed. |

Could be either one. The camera I bought had them built in. They could be switched off or on.

Nope. They can be either way. You can buy an aftermarket camera with distance lines and they will be displayed on your radio. That is what I did.

I can't believe that would put the screen with xm and nav and all other stuff and no camera, it doesn't make much sense to me.
