Unhappy I have no Bluetooth!!!

I picked up my 2SS/RS two days ago and found out I have no bluetooth.

Apparently the reason for this is because I have an export model.........(you see, I live in the Cayman Islands).........

I also don't have On-Star which I can understand because that service isn't supported in the Caribbean. But why on earth because I don't have On-Star it doesn't come with Bluetooth!! This sucks!!

And the dam thing is, I really wanted bluetooth because I have the M6.

OH well, just thought I would share that with you.

I think the Onstar equipment is also used for Bluetooth. Do you have "hands Free" calling?

I have the blackberry bold and it has hands free calling,

Well I just found it does have bluetooth because I can connect my phone to play music, but I just can't get it to work with calls. I don't see the Phone Settings menu when I press the CONFIG button

Dammit!

You're not missing anything. The Blu-tooth in this thing SUCKS. I mean you can hear great. The people who need to hear YOU have a hard time. I allways have people tell me they're having a hard time hearing me. And I know what they're talking about because I have a hard time hearing Scott when he's using his in his car while I'm talking to him. I use my ear piece in my cr still. Kinda sucks but no real biggie to me. Get an ear piece and know your better off.

Weird. My bluetooth experience in my Camaro has been MUCH better than my bluetooth experience in the Infinity G35 sedan. I haven't had any problems with it in the Camaro, but I always had trouble with people understanding me in the G.

My bluetooth work AWESOME....that's why I suggest that you might want to check and make sure your microphone is still in place. It's just a little snap that could come loose then the mic could slide out of place and be causing your issue.

I found the mic when I was doing my hardwire for the radar detector...it would be a 10 minute check.

Here's a pic of the mic location...it's on the left side of the pic with the white rectangular sticker on it. you can find my detailed instructions for 'opening' the overhead console in my build journal....ping me if you have any questions..

I would guess its an international thing.... The bluetooth frequency could interfere with other country's communications stuff (even though bluetooth is short range), so they just disable it for any non-US bound Camaros. Again, thats just a guess and could be way off.

My bluetooth is awesome, I think that mossman is right and PQ has a screwed up mic. I can drive around with the windows down talking in a normal voice and the other person hears me fine. The mic has pretty good ambient noise reduction (i.e. rushing wind from windows down, fans on high from A/C, engine noise, etc)

Hmmmmmmm.............. I'll check it out. Hopefully that's all it is. But I have trouble understanding Scott when he's in his car on the bou-tooth also.

I have bben using my earpiece but hopefully you're right. I'm gonna check it tomorrow.
