Texas-Speed 2" Primary Headers 2011 LS3 SS Vert (DYNO)

Pretty pleased with the pricing. Less than $1000 with HFCs.

Minor hiccup on the install. There was some weld that damaged my 02 sensor and destroyed one thread chaser trying to remove it. Not pleased with the response from Texas-Speed - they didn't answer my first email and when I pinged them again basically said "we've never seen this and it shouldn't be a big deal". I would've appreciated a better response for the aggravation. I ended up having to grind it out and use another O2 thread tap to get installed.

No clearancing was needed after removing the u-joint boot on the steering arm (2" primaries!) but I massaged it a tiny bit for insurance. I'm certain it would have been ok.

Baseline with JRE 93 Octane Tune, CAI, JRE Scoop, and Washer Bottle

Add Texas Speed Headers and JRE 415 Tune

So - very pleased with the value. Points taken off for customer service. Still can't argue with 32whp and 26tq for around $1000 including the JRE tune.

Nice! You're running pretty much the same setup as my car.

These cars are incredible fun with some basic bolt ons

Is there an overlay graph to compare on top of the other? From what I can see, there was no tq loss at all where it matters. And people say that 2" are too big..........LOL.

You will notice the STD designation in the Readings meaning its artificially inflated compared to SAE which is the standard......that engines are measured by for a long time....And your being a L99 your way lower in SAE, sorry to burst your bubble but shops like this may inflate numbers to try to get customers. And yes I know I have a couple dynos myself. And anyway dynos are just for tuning and comparison purposes, and the cost was kind of high for those headers. But hey its got to sound nice now. Good Luck! Anyway if you knock off 10 hp and tq you come in right at 415 area.

STD or SAE. As long as STD was used in each test the gains are verified.

You got that the OP has a L99 with one post? I must have missed something.

I do have one, I'll get it scanned in.

It's an M6 LS3. The cost was VERY reasonable, if you consider the reported cost also included a tune update. You lose the know-it-all award this round. Thanks for stopping by. (You should have read the thread title)

He's the only one that missed something.

Glad someone else noticed this as well. Compare the torque curve from 2k-4k and you'll see it gained nearly 75 ft lbs across that range. That's crazy

Good gains OP! Makes me want headers even more

Get 'em. It wasn't a tough install by any means. Definitely makes the exhaust sound exponentially nastier, but only when you pedal it.

It sounds like rocks in a blender.

Thanks man. The 3.91 1LE gears, RAM clutch adjuster, Tick SS clutch line, and JRE posi-mod go in on Tuesday.

The car doesn't need the gears, by any means, but it seems like everyone loves that particular mod.

I'm looking forward to short shifting first gear and giving second some throttle around town. The 1-2 shift just isn't very satisfying unless you wind out 1st, and if you do, you're already breaking the law around town.

Here's a first start and idle vid. Not particularly interesting, but it was laaaate and I didn't want to piss off the neighbors.
