Ok granted it has the Hennessey stamp on it, isn't that still kind of pricey for a splitter and side sills?? For those prices I can get a full polyurithane body kit!!

Not my style...and too expensive.

But if it is your style...it looks to be a well built quality kit.

Wow don't know how I missed this when it first got posted! Looks good

EDIT: Holy crappers, that's a tad expensive for Hydro-Carbon.

Hell there are actual carbon fiber trunk decks for that price.

nice, but not nice enough for the price tag, not even the Hennessey name does it.

Looks like an EXTREMELY nice design to me. I'm sure a LOT went into that and I think the price is reflective of the quality IMHO... Good job Hennessey!

I see it has "camaro pricing"..
It looks good,
I CAN afford it, but refuse to pay that much for something that isn't even real CF..
It's real disappointing to see everyone taking advantage of people who spent the money to buy a great sports car, only to have the aftermarket companies rake you over the coals for their products.. it's simply disgusting...

This is just not the case. It is not like "Corvette Pricing" where you can buy the same PS pump for an F-body for $200 less than a Vette.

This is a brand new car, these are brand new pieces and they have no other market to sell them to besides and extremely LIMITED customer base.

The amount of potential sales doesn't change the amount of money spent on designing and tooling a piece like this.

They could have made it cheaper (like in Joe Blow's garage with some molds made from fiberglass they got at Wal-Mart) but I doubt they did that. I'm sure they spent a lot of money getting it designed right to meet or exceed factory specs.

Look at how much factory pieces are going for that have the corporation, and now the government and you and I funding them, and then consider the expense of a private company trying to make stuff for a handful of people and eating the costs.

So much more goes into the cost of a part besides material...

Would it surprise you to know that we have spent over $80,000 on design, development, testing, tooling and production? We have to recoup our investment a little bit at a time on each part which we sell. If it is too expensive, then dont buy it. But dont think for a second that we are seeking to gouge anyone. In my opinion, our system is by far the best looking, best made aero kit available for the new Camaro. Given the amount of time, money and energy we have put into it, it should be.

I agree hands down. We designed a splitter for the new Camaro back in July, side splitters to match, but are STILL working out the aerodynamics of it (since the Camaro bumper goes up we need a place for air to escape because the "packing" theory doesn't seem to be applying) so I know you have to have a LOT of time in this to get it right.

I personally think the factory body kits look, well I'll hold my tongue and just say I am not a fan... This kit on the other hand ENHANCES the look of the Camaro as opposed to DETRACTING from it IMHO.

I'm just going to throw my worthless .02 in here, and then I am done...

$3,000 for a full exhaust system.. Headers to mufflers is absolutely ridiculous.
$500 for a CAI..... LOL
$10,000 for someone to install a supercharger.. WOW.... really????
Yes MANY shops DO Have Vette Pricing in mind when it comes to parts for this car..

I understand the R&D of some items for a vehicle.. Body kits are one of a kind ...most of the time..
as I mentioned.. I like the kit.. but to put it at that price, is to price it out of MOST everyone's price range.. Like I said ,, I CAN afford it, but will not pay that much...
I will leave the car as is..
It has nothing to do with Quality.. Quantity or who built it.. if I "feel" that an item is over priced, I will go with out..
This is just my opinion...
I am not knocking the Product.. just the price.. It looks good..
have a great day

I am pretty sure Hennessey is now offering theirs in real CF... That's what they had at SEMA... It looked GREAT in person. Better than 99% of what other companies were putting on their 2010s at SEMA...

any idea how much it weighs? has it been tested at high speeds? i would hate to get something like this and have it crack or get blown off. can you give me any info on mounting it? what kind of warranty does it have for cracking or splitting? i really like this kit and i think if i were to get it i would do the fiberglass. could someone email me?

their selling this kit. if you wanna complain, start a thread. dont do it under henneseys thread. if you dont like it, dont buy it. if you like it splurge for it. its all part of the exclusivity. if everyone could buy it or afford it, it wouldnt have its appeal.
