Thumbs up Breathless Performance Vortex CAI Prototype

Thought I would share with you my Prototyping experience with the new Breathless Performance Vortex Cold Air Induction System. Luckily I was selected to beta the new system. Breathless is located in South Florida in Dania which is local to me. I have to say they were great to deal with. The in house Mustang Dyno and a show room full of Corvette parts/memorabilia were fantastic. I had never had one of my cars on the Dyno before, I highly recommend the experience! Especially for your new SS.

The installation was painless in and out in 15 minutes and the HP gain across the board was incredible. The midrange in the car is where it should be now, and the response was incredible. The sound with the Exhaust also seemed like it changed. The car completely feels different, I wasn’t sure I drove off in the same car. We had great gains through the whole range and the unit esthetically looks great in the engine compartment (GM your CAI is Fugly). My 2SS/M6 wasn’t stock sporting an MBRP exhaust at the time of the Dyno.

Initial Dyno with MBRP: 382 HP/351 T

Breathless Vortex Intake: 399/372

Bump AFR:: 405/383

That’s a gain of 17 HP / 21 Ft-Lb Torque without the tune.

I like it, I don't know when I will ever make my mind up on one of these but I love the simple look of this one.

Design changed a little. The clamps had to be changed out. I will post pictures of the final unit soon.

Sounds like a great product. These guys make some of these best Cold Air Intakes for the Corvettes.
