I thought they were illegal to purchase in California?

I purchased them from the following link:
https://www.rpmoutlet.com/2012-2015-...-downpipes.htm Unfortunately, I'm going to have to take them off every inspection, then put them back on.

Wow! This is the best bolt on I've done so far! Much more aggressive sound and feel. I will upload a video tomorrow. I was afraid it wouldn't be loud enough, since adding the Magnaflow resonated x pipe prior to the HFCs install quieted the sound, but I'm very happy with the result!
For those with MRT v2 exhaust, I would recommend not adding the Magnaflow resonated x pipe till you are ready to install the HFCs. The combination of x pipe and MRT v2 without the HFCs was a little too quiet for my taste. Once you add the HFCs, you will be glad you added the resonated x pipe! All three together sound incredible! If you are on the fence about this bolt on, don't hesitate, you will be very happy with the result.

Installation was not difficult, but took me 4.5 hours. I did it by myself, with another person it would have went quicker. Driver's side was a breeze, and the passenger side was a pain as advertised. The passenger side is very crowded and access to the bolts was difficult. Had to use a combination of different size wrenches as well as an open ended box wrench for one of them (Top front on passenger side). The banjo clamps at the rear were very simple. The o2 sensor wiring clips were a little fussy, I went slow to avoid breaking the tabs you have to pull out prior to unhooking the clips.
The ARH HFCs fit perfectly. The bend at the top by the flange is a little sharper than the stock pipes, so the bottom rear bolt is slightly less accessible. This is a great product! Thank you ARH! I would certainly recommend these! I added the Big Daddies o2 extenders on the rear o2 sensor bung hole to avoid the CEL. No light so far, but it's too early to tell. If I do get a CEL I will update this page. Here is the link to the o2 extenders I used: http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/straight-cel-fix.html

I'm not exhaust install savvy. If I had all the parts you do throughout the whole exhaust system. What should I expect roughly for a muffler shop to charge for the full install?
I'm fully stock now with the exception of the throttle controller which I have installed myself. V6 LFX. 2012 |

I would recommend getting a cold air intake, and that is something very easy to install.

Is it me or does one of the area bolt holes on the left one appear to be a half circle

That is correct. The bottom, front bolt on the drivers side is notched. I think this is for easier install by a single person. When you slide the new pipe into position from underneath, you have to line up the rear and insert it into the banjo clamp first. Since the driver's side has so much room by the flange in the front compared to the passenger side there is nothing to rest the flange on while you go from underneath the car to the top to bolt the flange. All of my studs came out along with the bolts when I removed the stock pipe. I reinstalled just the bottom front stud and bolt, which allowed me to rest the front flange on that stud (thanks to the notch) while going from underneath to the top. This is not necessary on the passenger side since the area is so crowded.
