Hi all,

EDIT: To clear up, the title was a poor choice of words. The car still runs and carried me home about 6 miles the night the problem happened. I just don't know how long the car will run with the issue and I do not know the extent of the damage.

Not really a post I wanted to make, however here I am.

I have a 2011 Camaro LS, automatic with 89k miles that I have owned since new in January 2011. I have taken great care of the vehicle, however by my luck I have had a major break down.

On my way home last week, I got a loud rattling/knocking and sudden loss of power. I had it towed and it was found that a rocker had come free. They say there was a lack of oil. I have had the oil change done with nothing of note every 3k miles.

The repair is replacement of the LLT at significant expense for the position I am in life, trying to graduate in December. I just don't have the out of pocket to repair the vehicle or the time to put into thinking about it.

That said, I'm looking for offers. Maybe somebody looking for a track vehicle or project car. The car has some value in modifications that I will remove or leave for value. NPP exhaust, 20" powder coated wheels, RS factory HID lights etc. clear title in hand. Accident free, garage kept.

I don't have a number, just seeing whatever I can get, really. Just want a fair price.

I know that a camaro body in white is $8,000 and is just a frame.

Not sure what I'm buying either. Need to get this sold first, and go from there. It really sucks when you've loved something and taken care of it, to be rewarded with a failure like this.

Might be best to buy a replacement motor from a scrap yard and keep it or resell it then. I've bought complete bodies for around 4K with no drivetrain. Complete running LS cars are selling for low Teens, so there's a pretty thin margin there.

I would consider this as an option if it were a V8. Cost of an LLT is More than it's worth and the labor to put it in. I don't know the LLT or have the tools or time to do this myself.
