Its Official...6th Gen looks better than 5th Gen

Having owned both 5 and 6 Gen I can now say without question the 6th Gen in a better looking car. Have lots of pics of both from various angles. The 5th gen is cool but is..mmmm...how you say?...uhhh "a bit portly". The 6th gen is just slim, trim and muscular like wants to wup azz.

+1. It actually took me a minute to see the appeal, yet once my brain adjusted to the changes I was hooked.

Agreed, but it is still a subjective topic. Plenty of 5th gen owners refuse to get a 6th because they like their car more.

For me, when I parked my 15 1SS M6 black on black next to my soon to be 16 2SS red hot A8, I couldn't stop thinking about how much better the 6th gen looked to me. Bought it the next day.

Very subjective subject for sure, but for us, we never even considered a gen5. Didn't interest us at all. But the Gen6 looked sharper, more aggressive, & the Alpha platform with the LT1 was more then enough to put it on the list for consideration. No disrespect intended to gen5, but it didn't appeal to us at all.

Looks aside, the Alpha platform makes the Gen 6 an order of magnitude better car.

I had a 2014 and as solid of a car it was, I found it too big and over time the size really made me see the car as a bit goofy looking.
The 2016 looks way better to me and it is much better to drive.
The car is narrower, shorter in height & length, and the wheel base is a few inches shorter. I don't miss my '14 one bit.
Everything on the new one seems a bit more proportioned.

The LT needs a spoiler real bad. The LT 1LE, SS 1LE, SS all look really good overall.

...I never liked the 5th gen personally. I only had mine for about 9 months. The 6th gen just looks more aggressive.

Most, if not all of them haven't sat inside, seen in person or driven the 6th Gen. They just go by pictures SMH .

I owned a 5th gen a later one 14' and I loved and still love the 69' looking tail light and narrow much more aggressive front grill. I agree the 6thgen is a good looking car but so is the later 5th gens. The early ones I could not get into the vette looking tail light.

Been a known condition for over a year at least, since several of us came from Gen5s and now own Gen6.

I never did like the 5th gen what so ever, looked at a few 6th gens, fell in love and bought one a few days later, absolutely love the car

5th gen owner here that just doesnt think the 6th gen is a nicer car.....sure handles better and runs hard but it lost its classic look. The 6th gen is nice but doesnt have the muscle car look. Put the 6th gen drivetrain in the 5th gen design and you have a winner. Yes I know the tech is current and it should be better. Sorry but like alot of people outside the 6th gen forum say.....thats a Camaro? You know the 5th gen is as soon as you see it. Its funny there are a few former 5th gen guys here saying they like the 6th gen better....i get it. But based on the amount of 6th gens I see on the road.....it seems like others dont think its that nice.
