Just passed by the dealer on my way home. No news is not always good news! To make a long story short, I ordered in August. The seller told me it would be about 4 months. But I figured about 12-14 weeks, as many people on the boards had gotten their 2LT in about that time frame.

So, I call the dealer in the first days of October for a follow-up. They tell me the seller doesn't work there anymore and transfer the call to Mr Gravel (its the Gravel dealership). He tells me that they are moving all Chevrolet operations to their other dealership, across the bridge. Because of that, all order where "batch-made" and they don't really know when they are coming in. He's pretty sure they're coming in first half of November, though.

As I said, I've just been there today and they told me they still don't know when it's coming in, but all orders have been delayed to at least mid-December!

Also, they won't be offering the service on this side of the bridge, but I can leave my car at the dealer on this side and a valet will drive it to the other dealership if I want

Now, my current lease is still good for 16 months and I'm actually losing 100-125$/month if I transfer it. Also, I don't want get my car learn how to drive it in the snow. November was OK, because I figured I'd have a few weeks with no snow to get used to the RWD. I'm really starting to think I should cancel the order and re-order in January to get it around April. That would save me 400-500$ and I'd get it just in time for Spring.

I guess I'll sleep on it for a few days...

i'd say cancel and re-order in the spring ...
or look around for some on the lot right now... depending on what you want some of us on here might be able to help you out...

i also think you should re order later on... i did the same thing last week i canceled and will re order in January or end of December

Not sure if he is... There's a 2LT/RS TFE available nearby. I'm going to make an offer at MRSP-500$, as I don't really want the TFE stripe (I'd prefer painted BB stripes). That car has been on the website for about 6 weeks now and I've got nothing to lose! If that goes through, I'll be a happy camper! If not, I'm ok with waiting a few months. I've scoured the GM.ca sites for available vehicles from Quebec city to Toronto and got nothing better anyways.

Yipee! I called the dealer and told him I could buy my car, cash. Only problem, December is no good, so I'll cancel and possibly re-order to get it around April. I tell him there's this car on "the locate a vehicle" list and if he can do something about it, I might consider taking it. I tell him it's unfortunate the TFE is way too much. So he tells he he'll call me back...

Calls me back, and says that the car has TFE, 20" polished wheels, Block heater (

) and so it's about 2000$ more than the one I ordered. So I tell him, too bad, I guess I wait. He then says the magic words: "We could meet you half way...". MSRP-1000$

So... I'm picking up Bumblebee tomorrow!!!! He told me maybe Monday, but we got to tint and wash it. "Screw to tints, I'll be back for that. And I'll wash my baby myself, thank you! When, WHEN???"

I'm going back for the tint/anti-rust next week

The best about that? When calculating the price, I think he forgot something, because the Finance lady called me 15 minutes ago and confirmed the price. When I compare with my previous price (for the original 2LT/RS), I get MSRP-1500$.

Wow... This must be my lucky day. I just called the insurance to register the Camaro. I'm currently paying around 750$/year for the civic.

With taxes, I'm going to be paying 512$/year for the Camaro!

The finance lady at Gravel had me repeat 3 times

I also canceled the Sherlock engraving as it reduced the insurance by 12$/year only...
