Cipher Harness bar question
Hey all,
Got a Cipher Harness bar for Christmas. Got it installed and looks great. Having an issue though with the factory belts retracting properly. They are in front on the bar as per the instructions but are having a hard time retracting. Any tricks to get them to work properly? Thanks |

Cipher bar
Interested to see what the outcome is on your install. I wanted to install a cipher harness bar for autox events but retain the factory belt system the other times. Post up pics and let us know what you think of the setup when the bugs are worked out. I even looked at the BK version but after researching SCCA rules, i can't run this harness bar setup and remain in Street Class.

Wish I could help. I use this bar, but run harnesses full time. (Not a DD). I just find them more comfortable and secure than a stock seat belt.

Thanks I'll try and get some pics up to help trouble shoot. I'm waiting on tank plates to come it for my belts to be fully operational. Its definitely annoying having to fish the stock belt slack back down by hand when you get out.

How much play is in your bar once you have everything tightened down?

No real play in it its solid once cranked down and support rods tight. My install matches the install instructions picture but its like the belts are getting pushed to the front of the plastic where the retractors are and keeps it from retracting back in unless you use your fingers to guide it in better. |

Nice setup I should of gone with that bar setup. The Cipher bar one I have mounts to the top seat belt mounting bolts and has the two supports coming down to the lower seat belt bolt by the door. Also causes the bar to rub against back of stock seat when back a ways. Being 6'5" its back all the way normally. |
