Diablo Custom Tune What you need to do to get one

When you Purchase a Predator or Trinity From Me you get a Tune for free for your mods, exclusions apply.

You will need to install one of the tunes that came with the Trinity or Predator if you have not done so.

Using this software http://diablosport.com/CMR/software/...er_2.2.1.7.exe

Then, Extract the Last Tune Written, and the Original back up, save them to your desktop so they are easy to find.

I have created Dyno and Track tested tunes for all of the Product we sell so in most cases you will NOT need to datalog Unless I instruct you to do so.

If I instruct you to datalog and send me the logs here is what you do.

Using your Trinity or Predator, You will need to set up your datalogging, I want you to select the following

RPM, ENGINE SPEED
ECT ENGINE COOLANT TEMP
TPS THROTTLE POSITION , SOMETIMES TPS ABSOLUTE
IAT INTAKE AIR TEMP
MAF MASS AIR FLOW GRAMS PER SECOND
TIMING SPARK ADVANCE
Knock Retard
Short term fuel trim bank 1
Short term fuel trim bank 2
Long term fuel trim bank 1
Long term fuel trim bank 2

Go find a open road somewhere, 1/2 mile or so long would be great, from a stop drive the car 1/4 throttle up through the gears normally shifting at about 4500 RPM.

Then repeat at about 1/2 throttle to 5500 RPM

Then Repeat at Full Throttle 6000 RPM, a 1/4 mile is sufficient.

This can be done all in one log in most cases.

Using this software http://www.diablosport.com/CMR/softw...er_3.2.0.7.exe

Extract and save the Datalog to your desktop.

Email me the 3 files along with a list of Mods, your name and address, Car you have, and a phone number where you can be reached easily.

Ted.

Ted, I installed the trinity I purchased from you on my 2010 camaro (CD in box was blank so I downloaded all updates from diablosport website). tried the performance tune, it caused several trouble codes including stabilitrac, cruise control, abs, brakes, and three unknown codes any help or ideas would be appreciated. I put it back to original tune first time same codes, did it again and while origonal tune is on car no trouble codes

Did you try clearing these codes to see if they went away?

Maybe disconnect the battery?

Hey Ted,
How does your custom tune compare to using DSLogRedux to modify parameters and 'dial in' to the correct parameters?
I've tried using DSLogRedux, but ultimately have gone back to the canned Diablo tune because the car seemed to be running a little too rich for everyday driving. However, with the canned tune it seems to be a little on the lean side. For daily driving I prefer running a little lean to save on gas. The canned tune seems to hold the AFR to 14.75 except at WOT. At WOT the AFR goes to about 12.9ish.

14.75 is Stoich, or Closed Loop, it should easily run there everywhere but WOT where 12.8 is best.

I would need to see your datalogs to see if there is any room for improvment.

Ted.
