Project Bruiser + Hellion twin turbo

Tomorrow its off to Hellion Power Systems for project Bruiser. Had an opportunity come along 2 weeks ago, I could not say no to. They are making a twin turbo system for the camaro and needed an LS3 and L99. I meet a guy at a cars and coffee about 6 weeks ago, he has the LS3 and was going to do a twin turbo on his white SS. Funny thing we were using he same painter and didn’t even know it. Anyway he called he called me 2 weeks ago and and told me of the opportunity and I meet with Hellion last tues, toured the place and was told the details, by the way they are right near my company and didn’t even know it. Well what I get is a twin turbo plus everything else needed plus dyno tune for a price I cannot turn down. This was not in my plan for Bruiser. The only bad part is that I will have to drive it there in the morning with no hood, front facia, fenders and trunk, just a naked camaro 18 miles but the end result should be nothing short of awesome. Anyway I will post pics and progress as best they let me since I’m sure a few of you will be interested.

Hellion makes great turbo kits for mustangs and I bet it will be no different for this car. I would think about doing this but I know it will be in the 10k+ range. A really well built and enginered TT system is the best FI route that you can get. You will make more power than all other type of systems and have near instant torque for streetability. I am truely envious.

Finally!

Wow, looks like we're gonna have TT from three great vendors: TTiX, RPM and Helion.

With TT, especially if turbos are near manifold, you get instant boost. No lag! I really like PD S/C, but TT has a special place in my heart. I've had them both, and if there is a good TT kit out there, that would be my first choice, even though it's more complex and expensive, but the experience of that, is worth it!

Yes it still happening, all of mock-up is done and they are making the tooling to build the kits for the LS3 and L99, my car is in my garage so I can put my custom painted parts on and will be taking it back for the final product and testing and dyno. Everything is on schedule except for me which wish things would happen faster than they are, winter and holidays can really slow things down. They use turbonetics chargers and they are right off the manifolds. I really don't think you guys will be disappointed. I can not wait!!!

Thanks for the update Tom; You answered my most important question. How far are the turbos from manifold?

Hey Ivan, according to Tom, they're on it. Why don't you stop by their place and ask Craig directly!
Or at least tell him to respond to emails!

Just talked to Dave at Motiva.

I'm not at liberty to really say a whole lot but I can and will say this:

#1.)Wow.
#2.)If you are considering ANY power adder you need to do yourself a favor and look at this setup before making a decision.
#3.)Turbonetics Twin 57mm Turbos are standard with a 61mm upgrade for around $500 bucks.
#4.)most all the piping is built by Bassani. No BS stuff.
#5.)looking at all the other options, the pricing is right in line with what one would expect to pay for a quality setup. Dyno and Tune are included. 600rwhp at around 6/7lbs.
#6.)Wow again.

He did say that they were planning on releasing all the info around NMRA's. Both the L99 and LS3 cars are expected to be on the streets in the next few weeks.

Hellion and Motiva people are all stand up people from my little experience with them.

I expect a killer setup and rave reviews.

Ivan, who is Motiva? What is it's relation to Hellion? And why isn't Hellion returning emails? [not your fault man]

I've seen their TT on GT500 in Palm beach and it looked real nice. Having the twins under the car close to the manifold makes a big difference.

Great times coming up with Hellion, TTix, Whipple, KB, Edelbroke and etc.

Thanks for the update Ivan!
